Countless live and die on these dirty streets. How many times have we walked by in a hurry, turned a deaf ear perhaps to some cracked voice of a dirty child or a blind eye to an outstretched hand? These children live and die on the outskirts of our vision. For them there is no Durga Puja, no Diwali, no Eid and no Christmas. For these forsaken ones, there seems to be no escape. You might have seen
them praying to the dust blown idol of some revered goddess. But faith alone will not bring forth food to douse the fires of their hunger or deliver clothes to keep them warm. No men in red capes will scoop them off those streets. It has to be us. We, who love and protect the children in our homes, must be the ones to step up, to join hands, to reach out. Here at W.H.O. we believe that we can make a difference. We believe that with a little effort, we can bring a little joy into the lives of these children forsaken by society. We are dedicated to the betterment of their lives; Resolute in our commitment to try and provide them with basic amenities like food and clothes. We are an ever growing family of like-minded people from diverse walks of life, united by a singular vision of a better and brighter future for the underprivileged children of our City of Joy. There are thousands of them and only a handful of us, naysayers tell us. This website is a step towards balancing those odds a little, a step in the joining of forces with fellow warriors of this cause. We Help Others and as long as there are enough of us, those forsaken ones, those downtrodden ones, those forgotten ones still have hope. And sometimes a little hope, a small dream is all you need.
