Ananda Mohan College observed ‘Sanskrit Divas’ on 31 August 2026 (Monday). On the occasion, the Central Library organised a special display of its old and distinctive Sanskrit book collections from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the aim of creating greater awareness of these valuable library resources.

Faculty members and students visited the exhibition with keen interest. Dr. Subhra Ghosh and Dr. Pritilata Ray from the Department of Bengali, Dr. Kakali Singha from the Department of History, Dr. Malabika Chakrabarti from the Department of Philosophy, and Dr. Debasree Chakraborty from the Department of Botany shared the significance and themes of selected books.

The Sanskrit Procession, comprising students and faculty members, concluded in front of the Central Library, where participants visited the special book exhibition and explored the displayed collections. As part of the External Summer Internship Programme - 2026, I had the opportunity to conduct two interactive sessions for the Physiology Honours students (Semester II & IV) of Vidyasagar College, Surendranath College, Vidyasagar Metropolitan College and Bangabasi Evening College as the Librarian of the institution.

📚 Session 1: Web-Based Information Sources for Academics
🔐 Session 2: AI Tools and Cyber Security

The students participated enthusiastically and remained actively engaged throughout both sessions. Their curiosity and thoughtful interactions made the experience highly rewarding.

In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, cyber threats can affect anyone. I hope these sessions have strengthened the students' understanding of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and cyber security practices. Such awareness is essential not only for their personal safety but also for protecting their families and communities.

Had the opportunity to conduct two offline sessions as a resource person in the Summer Internship Programme–2026 for CCF B.Sc. Semester-IV students as the Librarian of the institution.

📘 Session 1: Web-Based Information Sources for Academics
🔐 Session 2: Cyber Security and Social Media Threats

The students showed great enthusiasm and remained actively engaged throughout the sessions, making the interactions highly enjoyable and meaningful. I hope the sessions helped enrich their academic and digital awareness. It will also encourage them to practise digital hygiene, become responsible digital citizens and stay protected against cyber fraudsters and online criminals.
