Strengthening Indo-German ties in quantum science.

S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences was proud to co-organize the Indo-German Workshop on Quantum Sensing with Quantum Materials: Present and Future, hosted at IFW Dresden and supported by the Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC).

The workshop brought together researchers, early-career scientists, and industry partners from both countries to explore collaboration across the quantum innovation chain — from AI-assisted materials design and synthesis to quantum sensing and industrial applications.

Organized by Prof. Bernd Büchner (IFW Dresden) and Prof. Tanusri Saha-Dasgupta (Director, SNBNCBS), along with Prof. Aparajita Singha (TU Dresden) and Prof. Saquib Shamim (SNBNCBS), the event builds on a long-standing partnership between SNBNCBS and IFW Dresden — and lays the groundwork for future joint research, funding, and researcher exchange initiatives.
