15th August – Independence Day Celebration
District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kullu proudly participated in the Independence Day Celebration with the active participation of Aapda Mitra and Yuva Aapda Mitra volunteers.
The participation of these trained volunteers reflects their commitment, dedication and spirit of service towards the community. Aapda Mitras and Yuva Aapda Mitras play an important role in strengthening disaster preparedness, response, rescue and relief efforts at the community level.
Their enthusiasm and dedication inspire the spirit of volunteerism, responsibility and community resilience.

On Dated12 August 2026 The seven-day Yuva Aapda Mitra Training Programme, organized by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kullu in collaboration with ABVIMAS, successfully concluded at the Rafting Centre, Pirdi.

A total of 60 Bharat Scouts & Guides volunteers from Government Degree Colleges of Banjar, Sainj, Ani and Haripur participated in the programme. The participants received practical training in water safety and rope rescue techniques, along with essential safety and rescue measures during disasters.

During the closing ceremony, Dr. Jayanti, Assistant Commissioner, Kullu, distributed training certificates and disaster relief kits. The kits included ropes, life jackets, helmets, gloves, first-aid kits, torches, raincoats and other essential safety equipment.

The trained volunteers will now be able to effectively assist in relief and rescue operations at the local level during emergencies and disasters.
12 अगस्त 2026: जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (DDMA), कुल्लू द्वारा ABVIMAS के सहयोग से राफ्टिंग केंद्र, पिरड़ी में आयोजित सात दिवसीय युवा आपदा मित्र प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का सफल समापन हुआ।

कार्यक्रम में बंजार, सैंज, आनी एवं हरिपुर महाविद्यालयों के भारत स्काउट्स एंड गाइड्स के 60 स्वयंसेवकों ने प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया। प्रशिक्षण के दौरान युवाओं को वाटर सेफ्टी एवं रोप रेस्क्यू सहित आपदा के समय बचाव एवं सुरक्षा तकनीकों का व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण दिया गया।

समापन समारोह में सहायक उपायुक्त कुल्लू डॉ. जयवंती ने प्रतिभागियों को प्रमाण-पत्र एवं आपदा राहत किट वितरित की। किट में रोप, लाइफ जैकेट, हेलमेट, ग्लव्स, फर्स्ट एड किट, टॉर्च, बरसाती जैकेट सहित आवश्यक सुरक्षा सामग्री शामिल है।

प्रशिक्षण के बाद ये युवा आपदा की स्थिति में स्थानीय स्तर पर राहत एवं बचाव कार्यों में प्रभावी सहयोग करने में सक्षम होंगे।

जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (DDMA) कुल्लू द्वारा युवा आपदा मित्र प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के द्वितीय बैच का शुभारंभ 06 अगस्त 2026 से ABVIMAS, पिर्डी कुल्लू में किया गया। इस प्रशिक्षण में GDC Banjar, Anni, Manali एवं Sainj के Bharat Scouts & Guides Volunteers ने भाग लिया। यह 07 दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया जा रहा है, जिसके अंतर्गत लगभग 60 युवा आपदा मित्रों को प्रशिक्षित किया जाएगा।

प्रशिक्षण के दौरान स्वयंसेवकों को Search & Rescue, First Aid, Fire Safety, आपदा प्रबंधन एवं Emergency Response से संबंधित सैद्धांतिक एवं व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया जा रहा है। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य युवाओं को आपदा की स्थिति में त्वरित एवं प्रभावी सहायता प्रदान करने हेतु सक्षम एवं प्रशिक्षित स्वयंसेवकों के रूप में तैयार करना है।

The second batch of the Yuva Aapda Mitra Training Programme, organized by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kullu, commenced on 06 August 2026 at ABVIMAS, Pirdi, Kullu. Bharat Scouts & Guides Volunteers from GDC Banjar, Anni, Manali, and Sainj participated in the training programme. The 07-day training programme is being conducted, under which approximately 60 Yuva Aapda Mitras will be trained.

During the training, volunteers are being provided with theoretical and practical sessions on Search & Rescue, First Aid, Fire Safety, Disaster Management, and Emergency Response. The programme aims to prepare trained and capable volunteers who can provide timely and effective assistance during disaster situations and contribute towards building resilient communities.

Considering the monsoon season, DDMA Kullu has deployed NDRF and SDRF teams in the Sub-Divisions of Banjar/Sainj, Kullu, and Manali. In this regard, the SDRF team conducted disaster awareness programmes at Sainj College and Banjar College.

During the programmes, students were sensitized about various types of disasters, disaster preparedness, safety measures, and emergency response. The SDRF team conducted practical demonstrations on quick and effective response during emergencies, rescue operations, and First Aid techniques. Students were trained in the safe handling and transportation of injured persons, emergency and non-emergency moves, CPR, and other life-saving measures.

The programmes witnessed active participation from the college administration, faculty members, and students. The students gained valuable knowledge about disaster management, rescue techniques, and appropriate actions to be taken during emergency situations.

DDMA Kullu is continuously undertaking awareness and capacity-building initiatives during the monsoon period to strengthen disaster preparedness, ensure prompt response to potential emergencies, and enhance community resilience by creating awareness among the general public and youth.
मानसून सीजन को ध्यान में रखते हुए DDMA कुल्लू द्वारा NDRF एवं SDRF टीमों को उपमंडल बंजार/सैंज, कुल्लू एवं मनाली में तैनात किया गया है। इसी क्रम में SDRF टीम द्वारा सैंज कॉलेज एवं बंजार कॉलेज में आपदा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान छात्रों को विभिन्न आपदाओं, आपदा तैयारियों, सुरक्षा उपायों एवं आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया के बारे में जानकारी दी गई। SDRF टीम द्वारा बचाव कार्यों, प्राथमिक उपचार (First Aid), CPR, घायल व्यक्तियों को सुरक्षित स्थान पर पहुंचाने तथा अन्य जीवन रक्षक उपायों का व्यावहारिक प्रदर्शन किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में कॉलेज प्रशासन, शिक्षकगण एवं छात्र-छात्राओं ने सक्रिय भागीदारी निभाई। DDMA कुल्लू द्वारा मानसून अवधि के दौरान आपदा तैयारियों को मजबूत करने एवं समुदाय को आपातकालीन परिस्थितियों से निपटने हेतु जागरूक करने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।

Disaster Management awareness training to the PRIs held on 29-07-2026.

2. Role of PRIs
3. Formation of VDMP and VDMC
4. HPSDMA application aapda rakshak was introduced to the participants, provide the hands on training of the aapda rakshak application.
5. Sachet and damini application working introduced among the participants

जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण, कुल्लू द्वारा 29 जुलाई 2026 को पंचायती राज संस्थाओं के प्रतिनिधियों के लिए आपदा प्रबंधन जागरूकता प्रशिक्षण आयोजित किया गया।

प्रशिक्षण में आपदा प्रबंधन चक्र, आपातकालीन हेल्पलाइन, पंचायती राज संस्थाओं की भूमिका, VDMP एवं VDMC के गठन तथा आपदा प्रबंधन योजनाओं की जानकारी दी गई।

प्रतिभागियों को HPSDMA के Aapda Rakshak App का हैंड्स-ऑन प्रशिक्षण दिया गया। साथ ही Sachet एवं Damini Apps के माध्यम से मौसम एवं आपदा संबंधी चेतावनियों की जानकारी प्राप्त करने की प्रक्रिया समझाई गई।

जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (DDMA) कुल्लू द्वारा GDC कुल्लू के Bharat Scouts & Guides Volunteers के लिए आयोजित युवा आपदा मित्र प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ 28 जुलाई 2026 से ABVIMAS Pirdi, कुल्लू में सफलतापूर्वक प्रारंभ किया गया हैI प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत स्वयंसेवकों को Search & Rescue, First Aid, Fire Safety, आपदा प्रबंधन एवं आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया से संबंधित सैद्धांतिक एवं व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया जा रहा है। प्रशिक्षण गतिविधियों के माध्यम से युवाओं को आपदा की स्थिति में त्वरित एवं प्रभावी सहायता प्रदान करने हेतु सक्षम स्वयंसेवकों के रूप में तैयार किया जा रहा है।

During the training programme, volunteers are being provided with theoretical and practical training on Search & Rescue techniques, First Aid, Fire Safety, Disaster Management, and Emergency Response. Various hands-on training activities have been initiated with the objective of developing skilled and capable youth volunteers who can effectively support the administration and community during emergencies and disaster situations.
