*Bandipora Clinches IDPL Kabaddi Boys U-14 Title, Defeats Baramulla by Four Points in Thrilling Finale*

*Anantnag defeated Kupwara by a narrow margin of one point, winning 25–24 and securing third place in the championship*

Kupwara, August 31, 2026: The *Inter-District Provincial Level (IDPL) Kabaddi Boys U-14 Championship concluded today with a grand finale at BHSS Nagri* Kupwara, witnessing an exciting and closely contested final between District Bandipora and District Baramulla.
In a thrilling championship encounter,

*District Bandipora emerged victorious over District Baramulla by 4 points, securing the coveted U-14 Boys IDPL Kabaddi title. Bandipora scored 42 points while Baramulla finished with 38 points* Both teams displayed excellent skill, determination, teamwork and sporting spirit, keeping the spectators and officials engaged throughout the exciting final.

The *closing ceremony was attended by the Chief Guest, Principal, BHSS Nagri, Mr.Ghulam mohammad lone while DO Police Post Nagri Malpora, Mr.Mohd akbar was the Guest of Honour. Officials, technical staff, coaches, selectors, participants, sports enthusiasts and local spectators were also present on the occasion*

The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Kupwara, for successfully hosting the IDPL Kabaddi Championship and providing young sportspersons with a platform to compete at the provincial level.

*Activity Incharge, Kupwara, Mr. Mohd. Amin Lone, conveyed his heartfelt thanks* to the distinguished guests, coaches, technical officials, selectors and participants for maintaining discipline, sportsmanship and a positive competitive spirit throughout the tournament.

*Convenor, IDPL Kabaddi Boys U-14, Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Tantray, appreciated* the dedicated efforts of the technical staff, coaches, players and participating teams, stating that their professionalism and cooperation played an important role in making the championship a successful sporting event.
Special appreciation was also extended to the selectors and technical officials, who discharged their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism throughout the championship.

*U-14 IDPL Kabaddi Boys Championship Opens in Kupwara with a Warm* *Welcome to Young Sportspersons*
*Ganderbal and Budgam Face Off in Opening Encounter at BHSS Nagri*

Kupwara, August 29, 2026: The *Under-14 Inter-District Provincial Level (IDPL) Kabaddi Boys Championship commenced today at BHSS Nagri, Hatmulla, Kupwara, with an exciting opening encounter between District Ganderbal and District Budgam*.

The *opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Javid Ahmad, DO Police Post Nagri, Hatmulla, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Javid Ahmad War, Liaison Officer, DYSSO Kupwara, was also present on the occasion along with departmental officials, coaches and participating players*.

On the occasion, the Chief Guest and the Liaison Officer warmly welcomed all the visiting guests, officials, coaches and participants to Kupwara and conveyed their best wishes to all the young sportspersons participating in the championship. They appreciated the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by the players and emphasized the importance of discipline, teamwork and fair play.
The opening match between Ganderbal and Budgam witnessed enthusiastic participation and competitive action, with both teams showcasing their skills, determination and fighting spirit on the Kabaddi mat.

*District Budgam emerged victorious, defeating District Ganderbal by 22 points, with the final score standing at*
*Budgam – 62*
*Ganderbal – 40*

Speaking on the occasion, Activity Incharge, DYSSO Kupwara, Mr. Mohd Amin Lone, assured the participating teams and coaches of full support from the department. He said that the department is standing firmly with the players and coaches and will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all necessary facilities are provided during the championship.
Mr. Lone further conveyed that the departmental team remains available 24×7 for the participating players and coaches and urged the young athletes to focus on their game, play with confidence and make the most of the opportunity.

The championship is being conducted under the supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Kupwara, Mr. Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal, with the department making comprehensive arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event.

The U-14 IDPL Kabaddi Championship provides a significant platform for young athletes from across the Kashmir Division to compete at the provincial level, gain valuable exposure and showcase their sporting talent.
