Today, the office of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District solemnly observed Sok Divas to honor the innocent lives lost in the tragic 2004 Dhemaji blast and acts of extremist violence across Assam.

The National Flag was flown at half-mast.

A one-minute silence was observed at 11:00 AM in memory of the departed souls.

Officials and staff took a collective pledge against violence and terrorism, reaffirming our dedication to lasting peace and communal harmony.

Let us stand united for a peaceful and secure Assam.

🇮🇳 Preparations Begin for the 80th Independence Day in Lakhipur Co-District.

A preparatory meeting for the upcoming "80th Independence Day Celebration" was held today at the Conference Hall of the office of the Co-District Commissioner.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District. the meeting brought together department heads, teachers, media personnel, and eminent citizens of the Lakhipur Co-District to ensure a grand and well-coordinated celebration.

Key focus areas included seamless inter-departmental cooperation, active community and student participation, and impactful local events to honor our nation's milestone.

📍 Review Meeting with Heads of Departments Held at Lakhipur Co-District

A review meeting with all the Heads of Departments (HODs) under the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur, was held today, 27th June 2026 (Saturday), at 1:30 PM in the Conference Hall of the Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur.

The meeting was chaired by Shri Kaushik Rai, Hon'ble Minister, Government of Assam, in the presence of Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Shri Rajiv Roy, DDC, Shri Manash Pratim Bongjang, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, and Shri Bhaskar Choudhury, ACS. Heads of various departments under Lakhipur Co-District attended the meeting.

Department-wise presentations were made highlighting the status of ongoing and upcoming projects across the Co-District.

During the meeting, the Hon'ble Minister reviewed the progress of various developmental initiatives, stressed the importance of timely completion of projects, and directed all departments to ensure quality implementation, effective coordination, and prompt resolution of issues for the benefit of the public.

The Co-District Administration remains committed to accelerating development works and ensuring efficient delivery of public services across Lakhipur Co-District.

Today on dated 24th June 2026, Sri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co District along with Sri Krishna Kishor Saharia, Circle Officer, Lakhipur Revenue Circle and Smti. Bijoyata Mahato, ZP member visited the the village Kanakpur Pt I to inspect the condition of bridge over Chiri river and to inspect the erosion caused by Chiri river.
The Co District Commissioner discussed the matter with the local public. Further activities will be carried out considering the greater interest along with safely of local public

Today, on 18th May 2026, a review meeting in connection with the Assam Mala Project (Joypur to Jirighat stretch) was held at the Conference Hall of Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District. The meeting was chaired by Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District, Cachar and attended by Shri Krishna Kishore Saharia, ALRS, Circle Officer, Lakhipur Revenue Circle, Shri Manash Pratim Bongjang, ACS Assistant Commissioner, Shri Bhaskar Choudhury, ACS, Assistant Commissioner and other stakeholders.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on matters related to land acquisition and project implementation. The CDC instructed all concerned officials and stakeholders to reverify the areas proposed for land acquisition and furnish the updated verification report at the earliest for further necessary actions.

📍 Field Visit | Adarsha Vidyalaya, Dewan T.E.

Today, on 10th February, 2026, Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur, who is also the Chairman of the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC), along with Smti Rituparna Bhadra, ALRS, Circle Officer, Lakhipur, who is also the Convenor of the SMDC, visited Adarsha Vidyalaya, Dewan T.E.

The visit included a detailed interaction with the teachers and staff, focusing on key academic, administrative, and infrastructural matters.

🔹 Key points discussed during the visit:
1️⃣ Academic progress of students and Gunotsav results
2️⃣ Utilisation of Annual Grant, including Saptadhara, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB), Teaching Learning Materials (TLM), etc.
3️⃣ Sharing of details on utilisation of funds for NCERT textbooks
4️⃣ Issues related to electric poles surrounding the school campus
5️⃣ Requirement of additional classrooms
6️⃣ Admission process for the academic session 2026–27
7️⃣ Matters related to school uniforms
8️⃣ Status of CBSE affiliation
9️⃣ School fencing and boundary-related issues
🔟 Issues pertaining to school land

The dignitaries also interacted with the students, motivating them and gaining firsthand insight into the teaching-learning environment.

Such field visits play a vital role in identifying ground-level challenges and strengthening the education system through coordinated and collaborative efforts.

Today, on 6th February, 2026, a meeting was held at the conference hall of the office of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur regarding compensation related to land acquisition for the Azure Power Plant, Lakhipur. The meeting was chaired by the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur and attended by the concerned patwaries and beneficiaries who were left out in the previous settlement of compensation for the land acquisition. The issues of the left-out beneficiaries were discussed in detail to ensure transparency and appropriate resolution.

Today, on 03rd February, 2026, Sampoornata Abhiyaan 2.0 was formally inaugurated with the vision of achieving holistic development and inclusive growth through focused interventions and active community participation.

The programme was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Office of the Block Development Officer, Lakhipur. The occasion was graced by Shri Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur; Shri Lakshyajeet Gogoi, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Lakhipur ; Smt. Anjali Kumari, ACS, Branch Officer (Social Welfare), DC Office, Cachar; the Block Development Officer, Lakhipur; the Deputy Superintendent, Chotomamda Model Hospital ; the CDPO, Lakhipur ICDS Project; the Block Veterinary Officer, Lakhipur, PRI members along with officials from Lakhipur CDPO, Anganwadi Workers and ASHAs under Lakhipur Aspirational Block along with other stakeholders.

This Abhiyaan marks an important step forward in transforming aspirations into achievements through convergence, collaboration, and the dedicated efforts of all concerned stakeholders to saturate all 6 Key Performance Indicators.
