कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी के संस्थापक अध्यक्ष अभिजीत दीपके ने कहा, 'सुबह सात बजे जब मैं फ्रेश होने के लिए यहां से निकला, तो पुलिस के गुंडे वहां आए। वे सोनम सर को गालियां देते हुए घसीटकर लेकर गए। 60 साल का एक व्यक्ति, जो 20 दिनों से भूख हड़ताल पर था उन्हें दिल्ली पुलिस जबरदस्ती घसीटकर यहां से लेकर गई। हमें नहीं पता कि कहां लेकर गए हैं। जैसे ही मुझे खबर मिली, मैं जंतर-मंतर आ रहा था, तो पुलिस ने मेरे साथ भी मारपीट की। ये पुलिस नहीं आरएसएस के गुंडे हैं। मैं विदेश से अपने देश वापस आया था, क्या मैं कोई अपराधी हूं? मुझे इन लोगों ने सड़कों पर मारा।'

क्या शिक्षा मंत्रालय की कमान सोनम वांगचुक को मिलनी चाहिए?

सोनम वांगचुक के स्वास्थ्य को लेकर ज्योतिर्मठ के शंकराचार्य स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद सरस्वती ने चिंता जताई है। उन्होंने केंद्र सरकार से अपील की कि जंतर-मंतर पर चल रहे आमरण अनशन के मुद्दे पर जल्द हस्तक्षेप कर समाधान निकाला जाए।

शंकराचार्य ने कहा कि लंबे समय तक भूख हड़ताल करने से व्यक्ति के शरीर और मन पर गंभीर प्रभाव पड़ सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि अनशन के कारण सोनम वांगचुक को किसी प्रकार की शारीरिक या मानसिक क्षति होती है, तो उसकी भरपाई संभव नहीं होगी।

उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि वे स्वयं भी उपवास का अनुभव कर चुके हैं, इसलिए वे अच्छी तरह समझते हैं कि लंबे समय तक अनशन पर बैठे व्यक्ति को किन कठिन परिस्थितियों का सामना करना पड़ता है। इसी कारण उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय (PMO) से इस विषय में शीघ्र और संवेदनशील निर्णय लेने का अनुरोध किया।
