Today I am sharing a situation that is almost the same across all the temples. There was a time when the vicinity of the temples was surrounded by numerous garlands, conches, incense sticks, etc. These were the means of livelihood for a large number of roadside vendors. Today's situation is very well depicted in the screenshot below. The place is a barren site save for a few who are still in hope that they could sell at least something.
We have so many such places near our homes. If only we could help some of these, it would help turn hopes to reality.

So let's begin with the Lucknow chapter!

My city Lucknow, better known as Nawabon Ka Shahar is a mystical place. One of its most oldest and famous places is Hazratgang. We Lucknowites are in love with 'Ganjing,' a word we have coined to express our love for the numerous shopping sprees that find solace in the streetside shops of our classy artisans.
But these days, it's not the same as it used to be some time back. Today we get out of our homes only for essentials. The streets are a deserted place. But what hasn't changed is that we still have our craftsmen out there on the street sides in the hope of earning livelihood for themselves.
Their strength to sustain in times of adversity is worthy of aplomb.
But it does not just end here. If we really value their achievement, lets come together to help them in their times of need.
This handicraft below is the creation of these people. The same hanging if searched online on any e-commerce site will be no less than 300 bucks. But do you know for how much did I get it for, just 80 bucks?

So here are a bunch of people who have united for a good cause. We are far away from each other in terms of physical distances, what unites us, though, is our common goal.
So bringing to you the chapters from 6 different cities, Lucknow, Dadri, Delhi, Kolkata, Ajmer, and Jamshedpur. Each city has a story to tell. Stories of some of the not very lucky ones, who have very limited means to sustain but their undying spirit is a source of inspiration and motivation to all!
