Shri Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Electronics & IT, participated in the India Taiwan semiconductor forum held at SEMICON 2026 in Taipei, Taiwan, giving an impetus to Uttar Pradesh’s semiconductor initiative. As one of the global semiconductor industry's premier annual flagship events, SEMICON Taiwan 2026 brought together international leaders, innovators, and key ecosystem players to drive advancements in advanced packaging, AI-era technology, and global supply-chain cooperation.

During the forum, he participated alongside key representatives including Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY); Shri Amitesh Kumar Sinha, Head of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM); Shri Ninad Satishchandra Deshpande, Director General of ITA; and delegations from Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The discussions focused on exploring growth opportunities in India's semiconductor sector and fostering robust cooperation between Indian and Taiwanese enterprises.

Today, delegation from the Government of Uttar Pradesh—led by Shri Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Electronics & IT, along with Ms. Prerna Sharma, ACEO, Invest UP, and Shri Manish Meena, ACEO, YEIDA—held a strategic meeting in Taipei, Taiwan with Mr. Eugene Huang, Chairman, Creative Sensor Inc., and the company’s senior leadership to discuss their India expansion plans.

The discussions focused on inviting Creative Sensor to explore opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, including available land banks, skilled talent, supplier networks, and the state’s growing electronics ecosystem. Potential areas of collaboration include sensor modules, electronics manufacturing, application engineering, testing, and deeper supply-chain localization.

With its strong industrial infrastructure, NCR proximity, talent pool, and expanding electronics ecosystem, Uttar Pradesh is facilitating global technology companies in establishing and scaling their India operations.

Uttar Pradesh is accelerating land acquisition along major expressways to develop 27 Industrial Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLCs) across the state. The Uttar Pradesh government is expediting the acquisition of 25,000 hectares, with UPEIDA having identified around 5,000 hectares and already acquiring more than 4,250 hectares. The IMLC framework will offer investors industrial plots at attractive rates, proactive policy support, improved multimodal connectivity, skilled manpower and plug-and-play infrastructure, with opportunities for PPP-led industrial parks. These clusters will strengthen manufacturing, logistics, investment and employment opportunities across Uttar Pradesh.

ग्रेटर नोएडा में उत्तर प्रदेश की पहली डबल-डेकर एलिवेटेड रोड बनने का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो गया है। ग्रेटर नोएडा की 130 मीटर चौड़ी सड़क को दिल्ली-मेरठ एक्सप्रेसवे (राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग-9) से जोड़ा जाएगा। इसके लिए एकीकृत चौक से शाहबेरी तक डबल-डेकर एलिवेटेड रोड और आगे सिंगल एलिवेटेड रोड का निर्माण किया जाएगा।

डबल-डेकर रोड तीन लेन तथा सिंगल एलिवेटेड रोड छह लेन की होगी।

यह कॉरिडोर ग्रेटर नोएडा की कनेक्टिविटी को मजबूत करने के साथ यातायात व्यवस्था और क्षेत्र के औद्योगिक एवं शहरी विकास को गति देगा।

Greater Noida is set to get Uttar Pradesh’s first double-decker elevated road corridor, with the Greater Noida Authority approving the project to ease congestion and strengthen regional connectivity.

The 2.5-km corridor will provide seamless connectivity between Shahberi in Noida Extension and Crossings Republic in Ghaziabad, with the first phase connecting the Delhi–Meerut Expressway to Ek Murti Chowk.

The corridor will significantly improve mobility across a rapidly developing residential and economic region.

Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is set for a major transformation, with a long-term expansion plan aimed at strengthening the city’s position as a key aviation and logistics hub for Uttar Pradesh. The roadmap includes a new integrated terminal, runway extension, cargo and logistics facilities, MRO infrastructure and additional aircraft stands.

The new T3 will feature automated passenger processing, biometric authentication, automated baggage handling, digital wayfinding and smart security systems, enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency.

With airport capacity planned to rise to 38 million passengers annually and the development expected to generate around 75,000 direct and indirect jobs, the expansion will further strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s air connectivity, trade and logistics ecosystem.

नोएडा–ग्रेटर नोएडा–यमुना एक्सप्रेसवे कॉरिडोर को तकनीकी एवं उन्नत विनिर्माण के प्रमुख केंद्र के रूप में विकसित करने की संभावनाओं पर भी चर्चा हुई। यह पहल राज्य में नए निवेश, तकनीकी क्षमता और युवाओं के लिए रोजगार के अवसरों को बढ़ावा देने में सहायक होगी।
