Today, a survey was conducted in Gram Panchayat Dullapur and Gram Panchayat Babupur of Block Mawai, District Ayodhya regarding low participation in Gram Sabha meetings. During the visit, detailed interactions were held with the Sarpanch and elected representatives, Gram Sachiv, Ward members, Self-Help Group members, and Gram Sabha members to assess the factors affecting community participation and to gather field-level feedback and suggestions. The discussions were highly informative, meaningful, and productive, providing valuable insights into the challenges and possible measures for strengthening public participation in Gram Sabha proceedings and Panchayati Raj Institutions. Subsequently, a meeting was also held with Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat) Mr. Anupam Sharma and the Panchayat Sachiv, where constructive discussions took place on the administrative initiatives and strategies being adopted to enhance participatory governance and community engagement at the Gram Panchayat level.
