P Bird Festival Chambal 4-6 Dec 2015
This is an first of its kind initiative by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Akhilesh Yadav to hold a Bird Fair in Uttar Pradesh. UP Eco Tourism Department will be taking charge of the event. The festival will take place on the grounds of the Chambal Safari Lodge. The Chief Minister will inaugurate the function on 4 December 2015. There will be talks by prominent ornithologist from around the globe. Workshops by professional photographers, art shows by renowned artists and a bird ringing station. Early morning would be for birdwatching in the nearby forest or doing a boat safari on the Chambal river followed by talks/workshops during the day.

Day 1: Delhi Arrival
Your Culture of India sojourn begins with your arrival at New Delhi airport where our representative will meet and es**rt you to the city hotel where rooms are held on ready occupancy. Check into the hotel and stay overnight there.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
After a sumptuous breakfast, you’ll be taken on a sightseeing trip of New Delhi and Old Delhi. Visit the Gandhi Memorials, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Qutb Minar and Parliament House. Retire to the hotel after a day full of activities.

Day 3: Delhi - Lucknow
In the morning, you’ll be visiting Akshardham Temple, the biggest temple of the world with sprawling lawns and museum and theatre. In the afternoon, go on a shopping spree in Connaught Place, the shopper’s heaven. Evening, visit the Kala Kendra. Enjoy the different forms of classical dances. Day 4: Lucknow Arrival - Sightseeing of Lucknow

Then embark on a daylong city tour visiting attractions like Bara Imambara, Chhota Imambara, Clock Tower, Rumi Darwaza,and British Official Residence. Evening is at leisure. Day 5: Lucknow - Varanasi (290 km, 7 hours)
The next destination is Varanasi. Varanasi is one of the oldest living cities of the world with a rich history of more than 4000 years. Board the train to Varanasi. On reaching, check into a hotel. In the evening, visit the holy banks or Ghats or River Ganges. Enjoy an exciting boat ride on the river. Retire to hotel for nigh stay.

Day 6: Varanasi - Sarnath
You’ll be embarking on an excursion to Sarnath, one of the holiest places for Buddhists. It is where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. Visit here Dhamek Stupa, a 34-metre high monument. Also visit Ashoka Pillar andArchaeological Museum.
Later return to Varanasi for local sightseeing trip visiting Kashivishwanath Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Bharat Kala Bhavan and Benares Hindu University. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Lucknow: With an intention to boost tourism in Uttar Pradesh, the state government will develop a “heritage arc” involving Agra, Lucknow and Varanasi on the lines of “Agra-Jaipur-Delhi triangle”. “Agra, Lucknow, Varanasi will be developed as a ‘heritage arc’ by improving infrastructure, including roads, pathways and condition of monuments, among other things, to attract tourists in a big way,” chief minister Akhilesh Yadav told reporters after a meeting of the Tourism Promotion Council. Stressing that tourism has a direct impact on the economy and image of the state and job creation and investments, the chief minister said tourism infrastructure development projects like proper facilities for tourists, training of guides and setting up of information centres will be taken up. Yadav said in the first phase, three square kms around the Taj Mahal will be developed. In Lucknow, proper lighting of Rumi Darwaza, Ghantaghar and other monuments will be done and the change will be seen by Diwali, he said. In Varanasi, restoration of ghats, bylanes and historical sites will be undertaken, he said, adding that a Mughal museum and theme park in Agra are coming up and light and sound show will be revived at Residency in Lucknow. “There were also suggestions in the meeting for developing Lucknow as a ‘green city’,” he said, adding that the state capital has everything needed for attracting tourists like heritage, culture, food and architecture. To a question if the state will appoint any face as its brand ambassador, Yadav said the monuments themselves are ambassadors. There are also plans to construct flyovers and road networks in Allahabad, which witnesses a large number of pilgrims during Kumbh and Magh Melas and funds will be allocated for the same in the Budget, he said.
