Electoral Roll Observer Dr Lalhriatzuali Ralte, Secretary, LESDE and CEO, MSHCS, visited Lunglei for the second time on 20 August 2026 to review the progress of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.
At the Circuit House, she reviewed the overall progress of SIR and interacted with District Election Officer Pi Navneet Mann, Election Officer Pi Lalhruaitluangi, and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of all six Assembly Constituencies, taking stock of the hearing process, constituency-wise progress and document verification.
Dr Lalhriatzuali Ralte appreciated the dedicated efforts of election officials, BLOs, NGOs and political parties in supporting the SIR process and expressed confidence in the preparation of a transparent, accurate and reliable electoral roll. Hearings have been completed at all 181 polling stations, while relevant documents are being scrutinised and digitised ahead of the publication of the Final Electoral Roll scheduled for 7 September 2026.
