Indefinite Fasting Against power cuts and to drop the decision to increase Electricity Rate
Magasakthi's Suggestion to State Govt. To Sort out Power problem
Short Term Suggestions:
1.The State Govt. has bought 1750 MW electricity from other states, but even though it couldn't be brought to Tamilnadu due to problems in Gridlines.The state Govt. should put political presserure on Central Govt. to sort out this problem. All party MPs from Tamilnadu should join hand and insist the same.
2.Usage limit should be set immediately for Electricity consumers for three months from now, so as to prevent lavish usage of electricity by Star hotels, Pubs, Resorts, Cinema halls, Shopping Malls, Other Entertainment centres etc..
3.Around 2000 MW electricty is being provided to MNCs in Tamilnadu withou any interruption. A considerable amount should be Taken from their allotment and provided to public distribution allotment.
4.The power shut down time limit should be incresed by half an hour extra for Chenna corporation in morning time for three months.
5.Around 1800 MW electricity is lost due "LINE LOSS". 5% is an acceptable one due to technical reasons. So the remaining loss are due to stealing electricity by anti-social elements such as political parties, Money oriented resorts, lodges and hotels in tourists places. The EB department is well aware of it still the problem continues. This should be prevented.
Long term suggestion- Lifetime solution for power crisis.
Solar Power Generation.
Though there are many practical problems in it, Researching on Solar Power Production methods would overcome all the technical problems and finding out new technology
would fullfill the electricity need of entire country.
Will the Govt. move towards a life time solution..?
