Maibang Municipal Board has initiated the transportation of accumulated waste from the overflowing Natun Galapang Dumping Ground to an industrial facility at Umrangso for appropriate management, ensuring a cleaner environment and reducing inconvenience to nearby communities.

Despite regular cleanliness drives by the sanitation workers, waste continues to be dumped in public areas, drains and roadside spaces. This not only makes our surroundings dirty but also creates unhygienic conditions and affects the beauty of our town.

The Maibang Municipal Board earnestly appeals to all residents to stop dumping waste in public places and dispose of household and commercial waste responsibly through the proper waste collection system.

Our sanitation workers are working hard to clean our town. Let us respect their efforts by keeping the areas clean after they have been cleaned.

The Census 2027 Self-Enumeration portal will be open from 2nd August to 16th August 2026. Residents can complete their household details online before the House-to-House Enumeration begins, from the comfort of their homes. The process takes approximately 15–20 minutes, and upon successful submission, a unique Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID) will be generated.

Census 2027 Self-Enumeration – Complete Step-by-Step Guide

The Self-Enumeration facility allows eligible households to submit their Census information online before the Census Enumerator visits their home. After successful submission, a unique Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID) is generated, which should be shared with the Enumerator during the field visit.

Step 1: Visit the Self-Enumeration Portal
1. Open the official Self-Enumeration portal: https://se.census.gov.in
2. Select your State/Union Territory.
3. Enter the CAPTCHA and proceed.

Step 2: Register Your Family
Provide the following details:
1. Name of the Head of Household
2. Mobile Number (One mobile number per family)
3. Email ID (Optional)
(Note: The Head of Household's name cannot be changed after registration.)

Step 3: Verify Mobile Number
1. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
2. Set up your account and log in.
3. Choose your preferred language (available in 16 Indian languages).

Step 4: Identify Your House Location
1. Mark the exact location of your house on the digital map.
2. Confirm your address details before proceeding.

Step 5: Enter Household Details
