Special Gram Sabha on World Environment Day, along with an Awareness Programme on Solid Waste Management Rules 2026 , Plantation, cleanliness Drive and Distribution of Segregation Bins to PM SHRI Tikpur School, was successfully conducted by 33-Siktam Tikpur GPU.

The programme highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, proper waste segregation, sustainable waste management practices, and community participation in protecting our environment. The event witnessed active participation of all Panchayats, RDD JE from BAC Daramdin, PRINCIPLE, Teachers, GPU staff and students of PM SHRI SCHOOL TIKPUR, some stakeholders, making the observance of World Environment Day meaningful and successful.

Today, dated 20/05/2026, a Training cm Awareness Programme on Protein Bait Spray Campaign for the Control of Citrus Fruit Fly and Management of Orange Fruit Crop was successfully conducted at Orange Village, Tikpur, 33-Siktam Tikpur GPU.
The programme was organized by the Horticulture Department, Soreng under the Government of Sikkim in the presence of the Joint Directors, Deputy Director, Panchayat President Mr. Birman S***a, OFA, and all the staff members of the Agriculture Department.
The awareness programme focused on the effective control and management of citrus fruit fly through the use of protein bait spray techniques for the protection and improvement of orange fruit crops.
The programme concluded successfully with active participation and cooperation from officials, Panchayat President, farmers, and departmental staff.

In a proud moment for our 33-Siktam Tikpur GPU under Daramdin Block of Soreng District has been officially declared a TB Mukta Gram Panchayat for the year 2025.
The recognition was awarded under the Government of India’s National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, marking a major step towards eliminating Tuberculosis at the grassroots level.

We the Gram Panchayat and residents expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Health Department for their continuous support, guidance, and dedicated services in achieving this milestone. Their efforts played a crucial role in ensuring a TB-free environment in the area.

Officials congratulated all stakeholders and encouraged continued efforts to sustain the TB-free status in the coming years. The achievement also aligns with the national mission of a TB-free India under the slogan “TB Harega, Desh Jeetega.”

The certificate was issued on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day i,e 24th March emphasizing the importance of collective action in eradicating the disease.

Career Counseling & Awareness Program was successfully organized at Village Administrative Centre of 33 Siktam Tikpur GPU on 24/03/2026 with the objective of guiding students and youth towards better career opportunities.
The program witnessed active participation of Panchayat President Mr. Bir Man S***a and all Panchayat Members, specially students of PM SHRI School Tikpur , local community members and all ASHA members. Resource persons from Helth Department shared valuable counseling on health

Respected our AD/PRI Sir Mr. Budha Hang S***a emphasized the importance of proper career planning, awareness, and informed decision-making in today’s competitive world. He also encouraged students to identify their interests and strengths while choosing a career path.
The event aimed to empower young minds with the right knowledge and direction to build a successful future. Participants expressed their appreciation for the informative and interactive session.
