The Kathguni house

This is a 3 bedroom cottage with running verandahs on three sides. All the rooms have breathtaking views including the bathrooms ! This cottage is the only one made recently in the traditional "Kathguni" style of construction. "Kathguni" in the local language means inter locking wood. We have painstakingly tried to recreate this style of architecture with all modern amenities. The house is a ten m

inute drive from the city centre and a short walk through apple orchards to the Old Manali village. The village has a lively atmosphere(during season ) with interesting shops and lots of bars,cafes,multi-cuisine restaurants and a few bakeries. The house is very close to all the action and yet away from the hustle-bustle. To Everything ! We are a phone call away and our caretakers are there to help. There are beautiful walks all around the property. You can enjoy a picnic by the river which is a five minute walk down the mountain or just laze around taking in the breathtaking views. Mountain bicycles are available on hire and there are amazing trails to discover. If you are lucky you can see the shy mountain fox around the river. You can hire a motor bike/scooter or the easiest way to get around during the season (may - july ) is scooter rickshaws or mountain bicycles for the sporty. The staff is there to help.
