Legal Awareness Programme on NALSA (Legal Services to the Mentally ill and Mentally Disabled Persons) Scheme,2015 and Consultation Programme Mental Health Care Act,2017 and identification of Mental illness and stress management at workplace Members of LADC Office, Panel Advocates, Staff of Sakhi One Stop Centre, President of Kasturi Sishu Griha, Mangaldai and Para Legal Volunteers participated in this programme. The symptoms of schizophrenia and symptoms of neurosis and psychosis were discussed. Legal Awareness Camp on the Rights of individuals: a) Pre-arrest b) Arrest c) Remand d) Rights of incarcerates persons with Mental Disability & Role of Correctional Staff, Legal Aid Services and Para Legal Volunteers Under the Mental Healthcare Act,2017 e) Mental Health of the residents in the Correctional Home. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Mir Alfaz Ali, Former Judge of Gauhati High Court and Director of Judicial Academy, Assam made the inmates aware of their right prior to arrest and the right post arrest and remand elaborately. He emphasized on the right to seek legal aid even when a person is anticipating arrest. Hon’ble Mr. Justice B.P. Katakey former Judge of Gauhati High Court and President, Studio Nilima elaborately explained in simple parlance the rights of incarcerated persons with mental disability and role of correctional staff , Legal Aid Services and Para Legal Volunteers under the Mental Health Care Act,2017. Dr. Anweshak Das , Psychiatrist made the inmates aware of the common symptoms of under the Mental Health Care Act,2017. He urged upon the inmates and the PLVs to be vigilant enough and inform the authority and DLSA and report any such incidents.

A day long Capacity Building training programme under e-Committee Special Drive Training and Outreach Programme for the Legal Aid Defense Counsels under DLSA, Darrang was organised by Judicial Academy Assam on 28thSeptember,2024 and one hour training programme for the Panel Advocates under DLSA, Darrang was organised on 30thSeptember 2024.

DLSA, Darrang organized a Legal Awareness Programme on NALSA ( Legal Services to victims of Acid Attack)Scheme, 2016 in association with Police Department, Darrang at District Library, Darrang on 25th of September,2024 . A total of 290 number of people participated in the programme which includes proprietors /owners of Jewellery Shops, VDP Secretaries, OCs of various Police Stations, DSP , Addl. SP and PLVs . Secretary, DLSA, Darrang along with Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Darrang was present and made the participants aware about the guidelines given in the judgment passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court in Laxmi vs. Union of India & others . As it has appeared that in most of the acid attack cases the accused gets the acid from Jewellery Shops, thus the participants were made aware of the Poison Possession and Sale Rules, 2015 and purchase of acid requires to be regulated as per that rules. The Proprietors who do not have license as mentioned in the said rule is not authorized to sale or posses acetic, sulphuric acid etc. as mentioned in schedule of Poison Possession and Sale Rules, 2015. It has also be mentioned that the license shall be promptly displayed in the place of business and as per Rule 11 the authorized person appointed under Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1940 has the power to inspect such acids and along with the register which is required to be maintained by the owner as per Rule 15.
Further, NALSA ( Legal Services to victims of Acid Attack)Scheme, 2016 has been explained so that in the event any acid attack cases reach Police Stations, the concerned Investigating Officer/Officer in Charge can explain the guardian of the victim regarding their rights under the Scheme and refer them to DLSA. The NALSA helpline number 15100 has also been made aware to the public.

ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় আইন সেৱা প্ৰাধিকৰণৰ নিৰ্দেশমৰ্মে অন্যান্য জিলাৰ লগতে দৰং জিলা আইন সেৱা প্ৰাধিকৰণৰ সৌজন্যত ইং ১৪ ছেপ্টেম্বৰ ২০২৪ তাৰিখে দৰং জিলা সত্ৰ ন্যায়াধীশ আদালত চৌহদত ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় লোক আদালত সফলভাৱে অনুষ্ঠিত হৈ যায়। ৰাজ্যিক আইন সেৱা প্ৰাধিকাৰীৰ নিৰ্দেশত অনুষ্ঠিত লোক আদালতৰ জৰিয়তে ১৩৮৮ টা বিভিন্ন ধৰণৰ গোচৰ নিষ্পত্তি হোৱাৰ লগতে সৰ্বমুঠ ৬,৬৬,৫৩,১৭৫ টকা সংগ্ৰহ কৰিবলৈ সক্ষম হয় । অসম ৰাজ্যিক বিদ্যুৎ নিগমৰ ১০৯২ টা গোচৰৰ ৩৮৮ টা গোচৰ নিষ্পত্তি হয় আৰু টকা সংগ্ৰহ হয় ৮৩,৭৪,৯০১ টকা, বি.এছ.এন.এল.ৰ ২৭১ টা গোচৰৰ ১৫ টা গোচৰ নিষ্পত্তি হয় আৰু টকা সংগ্ৰহ হয় ১৫,৮০২ টকা, ফৌজদাৰী ৪৮ টা গোচৰৰ ৪ টা গোচৰ নিষ্পত্তি হয় । যান-বাহন আইনত ১৮০০ টা গোচৰৰ বিপৰীতে ৩০৯ টা গোচৰ নিষ্পত্তি হয় আৰু টকা সংগ্ৰহ হয় ২,২৭,০০০ টকা । দুৰ্ঘটনা সম্বন্ধীয় ১৯৩ টা গোচৰৰ ৫২ টা গোচৰ নিষ্পত্তি হয় আৰু ৩,৮৯,৯৪,০০০ টকা সংগ্ৰহ হয় । লোক আদালত সাফল্যমণ্ডিত কৰাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত উপস্থিত থকা সকলো সন্মানীয় ন্যায়িক বিষয়া, অধিবক্তা, লোক আদালতত অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰা সকলো প্ৰতিষ্ঠানৰ বিষয়া-কৰ্মচাৰী, জিলা আইন সেৱা প্ৰাধিকাৰীৰ বিষয়াবৰ্গৰ লগতে অৰ্দ্ধ-আইনী স্বেচ্ছাসেৱক সকলোলৈকে দৰং জিলা আইন সেৱা প্ৰাধিকাৰীৰ তৰফৰ পৰা আন্তৰিক ধন্যবাদ আৰু কৃতজ্ঞতা জ্ঞাপন কৰা হয় ।
