On 27th December,2024 an Swasthya Aaru Pori-Pusti Mela 2024 along with Talk on Menstrual Health was successfully organized by POSHAN Abhiyaan in collaboration with SANKALP: HUB Darrang, under the Department of Women and Child Development, Darrang at Playground of Pachim Rangamati HS School under Pachim Mangaldai ICDS project. The event featured a wide array of activities aimed at promoting Menstrual hygiene, health and nutrition, among women, children, and adolescents.
Dignitaries present at the event included the MLA of Mangaldai LAC, Vice- Chairperson of State Women Commission, ADC (Social Welfare) of Darrang, DSWO, FDO, DCPO, Representative of Rastriya Bal Swastha Karyakram, DPM of National Rural Health Mission, Representative of Education department, Principal of Pachim Rangamati HS School, AWW/AWH, Nyay Sakhis and Community members. It also included PMMVY Registration, Aadhaar seeding, formation of Kishori Sevika Got, menstrual hygiene video display, FGB on menstrual health , distribution of sanitary pads, Street play on child marriage, PMMVY, helpline nos and nutrition, anemia screenings, comprehensive health checkups , Growth monitoring camp, nutri game, recipe demonstrations along with distribution of leaflets on prevention of child marriage, DV, PMMVY, helpline nos.

On dated 11th December, 2024 as part of 16 days activism to end Gender-Based -Violence a Special Gram Sabha for Women i.e. Mahila Sabha has been organised at Bihudia GP Office with theme women friendly village in collaboration with ASRLM. In the meeting DSWO, Darrang, i/c PO (DCPU), BC (ASRLM), Gaon Pradhan, Supervisors, DHEW Staff, Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi helpers, SHG members, Jeevika Sakhis and women members of Bihudia and Bahabari were present.

A district Level review cm consultation on implementation of Acts and Schemes related to Women and Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat was organized by SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women Darrang District as a part of 16 Days Campaign on ending gender-based violence on 7th December, 2024 at Puthimari GP Office, Mangaldai which was conducted with an aim to take an overview on the implementation of DV Act, PCMA Act, PoSH Act & She-Box portal, BNS, BNSS, BSA. The meeting was graced by ADC, Sri Ajit Kalita followed by a keynote address by DSWO, Session by Chief LADC( DLSA), Session by DCPO, Speech by invited guest: SI from Women Cell, CDPO's. Members present Police Personnel, GP Secretaries, Supervisors, Dhew team, OSC staff, AWW, ASHA, ANM, and Nyay Sakhis.

Today on 30th November,2024 an awareness session on menstrual health and gender-based violence was organized at Burha lokpriya bordoloi high school. The session aimed to provide awareness on current situation of women and girl child in our society and role of people regarding Gender Based Violence, DV Act, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act (2006) and other schemes for women and girl child under WCD and the practices surrounding menstrual health, dietary intake during menstruation. Various information regarding menstruation to reduce stigma and misconceptions, among adolescent girls was also provided.

On 26th November,2024 an awareness programme on "16 days Activism to end Gender- Based Violence" in collaboration with Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was conducted at Satgharia LP School, Kuiapani under Pachim Mangaldai ICDS Project Office. At the very outset of the meeting a rally focussing on "Say No to Gender based Violence" was conducted. The rally was flagged off by the District Social Welfare Officer, Darrang. The awareness meeting was graced by the District Commissioner, Darrang. A pledge taking programme was also conducted along with the ICDS Project Offices in connection with the 16 days campaign to end Gender Based Violence & Constitution Day of India.

On 26th November 2024 as a part of 16 days Activism to End Gender Based Violence and মৌনতা ভংগ কৰক (Talk on menstrual Health) BBBP on awareness program was organized at Lengeriajhar Krishak HS School . In the programme resource person Dr S.B Neha (MO, Pathorighat), Dr. L Choudhary (MO, Pathorighat), Smti Anwesha Rajkhumari (Counsellor, Mangaldai Civil Hospital), Smti Nikumoni Bura Gohain (ASI, Assam police), Smti Surobhi Das (Case worker, Sakhi- One Stop), DHEW Staff, Shri Bijit Nath ( Pharmacist), Teachers, ANM of Pathorighat BPHC and students of class 9 and 10 of Lengeriajhar Krishak HS School were present.
The programme emphasis on topics such as Menstrual health and hygiene, safe menstrual practices, dietary habits during menstruation, 5 P related to menstruation, addressing taboos related to it, ice breaking activity on menstrual health. The program also addresses topics in connection with 16 days Activism ending gender-based violence includes pledge taking, Prohibition of child marriage act, Domestic violence, Cybercrime, child trafficking, whom to approach, rights of women, awareness on Sakhi- One stop Centre, Mission Shakti and its scheme.

On 14th November,2024 an awareness program was organized on Gender oriented mental health and personal well-being under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao at Kharupetia Higher Secondary School. In the programme resource person Dr. Iftikar Hussain (Neuro Psychiatry), Dr. Imdadul Alom Laskar (Medical Officer, Kharupetia), Shri Kishor Kr. Sarma (Principal) Kharupetia Higher Secondary School, DHEW Staff and students from Class 9, 10, 11 and 12 of Kharupetia Higher Secondary School were present. The programme focused on topics such as concepts of gender oriented mental health and personal well-being, problems associated with mental health and personal well-being and interventions, procrastination and its effect in overall well being the students, awareness regarding Mission Shakti and its schemes, Information regarding various scholarship available for the students and how to avail it. A total number of 150 members attended the meeting and information on toll free helpline numbers were also shared with the students.

On 14th November,2024 an awareness meeting was organized by Nyay Sakhis of Dhula GP with technical support of SANKALP: HUB Darrang among the community members disseminating their roles and responsibilities as NYAY SAKHIS. In the meeting VDP members, Gaon Pradhan, DHEW officials, AWW and local community members were present.
