ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಸಿಟಿ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ವೆನಲಾಕ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ನೂತನ ಸರ್ಜಿಕಲ್ ಸೂಪರ್ ಸ್ಪೆಷಾಲಿಟಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ದಿನಾಂಕ 15/08/2024 ರಂದು ನೆರವೇರಲಿರುವುದು ತಾವು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೋರಿದೆ.

Honourable DC Dakshina Kannada Shri.Mullai Muhilan M P, IAS, guided and interacted about the Integrated Command and Control Centre with final year Students from Canara Engineering Mangalore Alva's Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodbidri Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management St Joseph Engineering College, Yenepoya Institute of Technology and Bearys Institute of Technology. Students were offered to work on the ICCC in their Academic project and to come up with citizen centric solution.

Solid Waste Management
Mangaluru City Corporation is responsible for collection,segregation, transportation, dumping and processing of the city waste from door to door. Waste is transferred from primary collection vehicles into secondary collection vehicles for dumping at Waste Processing plant.Currently, managing the people responsible for the activity and proper utilization of assets/resources assigned to them has become a complex job for Authority.Waste is transferred from primary collection vehicles into secondary collection vehicles for dumping at Waste Processing plant. A Press briefing was held by Mr. Mohammad Nazeer (MD, MSCL) on 10th July at Smart City Office regarding the status of various projects that are being taken by MSCL.
He also gave details of “The Urban Learning Leadership Program (TULIP)”, a program which can help interns to get exposure in various projects and departments.

Hon’ble District Commissioner DK district Mrs. Sindhu B Roopesh was accompanied by Mr. Mohammad Nazeer MD, MSCL to Integrated Command and Control Centre (CCC) established by MSCL on 7th July 2020. CCC which is developed as a disaster management and emergency response centre is presently being used as COVID-19 war room to provide counselling and telemedicine services by the District Administration. The facility is utilized for tracking home quarantined COVID-19 positive cases and also for tracking contacts of COVID-19 positives.

In the initial stages the CCC was used to monitor relief measures, track stranded labours and 24X7 online counselling centre
