The 40th batch of CTI’s 15-day Certificate Course on INM successfully concluded with 30 trainees completing the programme. The morning session featured project presentations that reflected the participants’ innovative project ideas, sound scientific understanding, accounting ability, real-life business experience, language and data processing skills, presentation skills, and creativity.

Prajitha M. P. from Kottayam secured the highest score in the course.

Certificates were distributed by Dr. Binoo P. Bobby, Director of Extension.

With this, another 30 entrepreneurs focusing on sustainable agriculture are ready to move forward. Congratulations to all the participants! 🌱👏

🌱 INM Batch 40 – Penultimate Day | 11 March 2026
The penultimate day of INM Batch 40 was a busy and engaging one. The practical session was conducted at the College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara, providing participants with hands-on learning experience.
The rest of the sessions were held at Karshaka Bhavan, where participants attended two theory classes covering important aspects of nutrient and soil management.
Participants also completed their written evaluations as part of the training programme. The day was highly productive, combining practical exposure, classroom learning, and assessment as the programme moved towards its final day. 🌾📚

🌱Training on Nursery Management, Quality Planting Material Production & Agroforestry
The Central Training Institute (CTI),Mannuthy , Kerala Agricultural University, successfully organised a three-day training programme for 129 employees of State Agricultural Farms in North Kerala under the Sub-Mission on Agroforestry (SMAF) from 5–17 January 2026 (3 batches ) at Karshaka Bhavanam, Mannuthy and the College of Forestry, Vellanikkara.

• 🌿The programme covered agroforestry models, bamboo cultivation and its commercial applications, nursery establishment (including hi-tech nurseries), tissue culture basics, establishment matters related to farm labourers along with practical sessions on black pepper and fruit crop propagation, field visits to KFRI centres, FCRI Mettupalayam, plantations and private nurseries. Participants highlighted the relevance of the programme in promoting sustainable livelihoods and income generation.
