NORTHEAST FESTIVAL NAGALAND, 2023

The day was kick off with an morning exercise i.e Yoga and zumba !
Accademy session -
- 1st session taken by Sir CH Kongthung on the topic "Heath and Hygeine".
- 2nd session taken by Maa'm Easther Angami on the topic "Problem solving".
-3rd session taken by Maa'm Achila K Yimchunger on the topic " Self Awareness ".And
- 4th session taken by Sir Pursungit Pongen on the topic "Communication Skills".
The day was concluded with a Cultural night in the Evening respectively.

Thirty two NSS volunteers along with each program officers from Don Bosco College (Autonomous)Maram and Asufii Christian Institute Punanamei attend the Northeast NSS festival at St Joseph College (Autonomous)Jakhama under the theme : "YOUTH - THE CHANGE MAKERS ",from 13 to 17 June 2023.

DON BOSCO COLLEGE MARAM - NSS VOLUNTEER ORGANIZED A STREET PLAY
Senapati February 8 ,2023 : NSS volunteer of DBCM organized a street play at maram center on the themes : 1) Drugs abuse and addictions 2) sexual harassment 3) Domestic violence and 4) Save girl childs.
The main aim of the program was to bring awareness on violence against womens, sexual harassment on the streets, domestic violence, drugs addictions and to save girl childs. From three units 26 volunteers participated the play where many people's from the village witness the play.

Don Bosco College Maram - NSS volunteer Celebrated 74th Republic Day at Senapati, 80 volunteers alone with 1 program officers and 2 program Cordinator participate the celebration. Two separate Contingent from DBCM viz, Boys & Girls participate the Parades over which more than 20 contingents beyond Senapati District participated the parade in which DBCM NSS volunteer Girls Contingent secured the 1st position and wind up the programs after cleaning the respective surroundings by the volunteers.

NSS OF DBC (A) MARAM OBSERVES WORLD AIDS DAY & COMMENCES SPECIAL CAMP
Senapati December 1, 2022: National Service Scheme of Don Bosco College (A) Maram observed World AIDS day 2022 under the theme “Equalize.” given by UNAIDS. The day was solemnized with the wearing of the red ribbon badges by the faculty members and volunteers through which they were made aware of significance of the day. One of the volunteers in his speech said that to keep everyone safe, to protect everyone’s health, we need to equalize as the data from UNAIDS on the global HIV response reveals that during the last two years of Covid-19 and other global crisis, progress against the HIV pandemic has faltered, resources have shrunk and millions of lives are at risk as a result. The celebration concluded with a musical note from the music club of the college.
The NSS Unit 1 and 2 also commences the 7 days residential special camp at Kavanam and Kabinam, adopted villages at Maram under the theme, “Youth for Change” under the supervision of John Britto and Sr Sochanphi Ethel FMA, Program Officers.

NSS of DBC Maram observed Massive Cleanliness drive in and around college campus and in the adopted villages namely Kavanam and Kabinam.
Programme Officers along with 200 volunteers dispatched from the campus along with sacks, knife and gloves by 9am.
All the units together collected around 60 to 70 kg of plastics in the college , highway and in adopted villages.
11am they gathered in the campus and dispersed after the cleanliness drive.
