While Delhi watched the barricades,
Modi and Shah watched the chessboard.

Not with lathis.
With numbers.

To understand this story, remove your humanitarian hat.
Put on your political one.

Because politics counts power.
It counts timing.
It counts silence.

That is where Modi and Shah see what others miss.

Not the emotion.
The equation.

17 April 2026.
The Delimitation Bill entered Lok Sabha.

It needed 352 votes.

It received 298.

230 MPs voted no.

The government lost by 54.

That night, the Bill died.

But the arithmetic survived.
And arithmetic leaves fingerprints.

The NDA had nearly 293 MPs.

Then Trinamool cracked.
20 rebel TMC MPs moved towards NCPI.

Now, what is NCPI?
Ask Amit Shah.
18 July 2026.
The Speaker granted NCPI.
Separate seating arrangements in Lok Sabha.

293 became 313.

Then six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs crossed over.
The Speaker recognised their move to Eknath Shinde.

313 became 319.

With all 540 occupied seats voting.
The constitutional mark is 360.

Article 368.
A constitutional amendment.

Two-thirds in Lok Sabha.
Two-thirds in Rajya Sabha.

So the second operation began.
Not permanent alliances.
Issue based support.

DMK has 22 Lok Sabha MPs.
NCP-SP has eight.
YSRCP has four.

Five other votes will come from outside.

Now add the pieces.

319 NDA votes.
Plus 22 from DMK.
Plus 8 from NCP-SP.
Plus 4 from YSRCP.
Plus 5 outside votes.

The total in Support of Bill?
358.

Still two below 360.

But Parliament has another door.

Absence.
Abstention.
A walkout.

If only 537 MPs vote,
358 becomes enough.

Some MPs need not vote yes.
They only need not vote no.

Democracy calls it abstention.
Modi-Shah calls it profit.

Now look upstairs.

Rajya Sabha needs 164 under full attendance.
The NDA has 155.

YSRCP brings four.
DMK brings eight.
NCP-SP brings one.

155 becomes 168.
4 above the line.

This is not merely a majority.
It is choreography.

One bloc crosses over.
One party supports conditionally.
Another quietly walks out.
The Constitution does the rest.

Meanwhile, India watched the student uprising.

Arvind Kejriwal dreamed of Punjab.
Akhilesh Yadav calculated Uttar Pradesh.

Sonam Wangchuk was moved to hospital.
Dharmendra Pradhan resigned.

CJP declared victory, and lost its reputation.

Modi appeared on Instagram.
A Nandan Nilekani-led task force was announced.
A new examination law was promised.

The headlines changed.
The streets cooled.
Angry supporters softened.
Parts of Gen Z returned to Modi.

The government regained the frame.
The Opposition lost the camera.

And behind the noise, the numbers kept moving.

Modi and Amit Shah are not magicians.
They are colder than that.

They are seasoned operators.
Dangerous players in a dangerous game.

They do not merely count votes.

They count defections.
Conditions.
Absences.

And who will disappear when the bell rings.

When Parliament finally votes,
India may discover something chilling.

The Bill was not passed that day.
It was passed weeks earlier.

4 ते 6 जुलै दरम्यान मुंबई-एमएमआर, कोकण आणि मध्य महाराष्ट्रातील घाट परिसरात मुसळधार पावसाचा अंदाज

मुंबई शहरासह रायगड, ठाणे, पालघर, रत्नागिरी आणि सिंधुदुर्ग जिल्ह्यांमध्ये 4 ते 6 जुलै दरम्यान मुसळधार पावसाचा अंदाज वर्तविण्यात आला आहे. तसेच, मध्य महाराष्ट्रातील सातारा, पुणे आणि नाशिक जिल्ह्यांच्या घाट परिसरातही या कालावधीत मध्यम ते मुसळधार पावसाची शक्यता आहे. या कालावधीत स्थानिक प्रवासात अडथळे आणि काही प्रमाणात संरचनात्मक नुकसान होण्याची शक्यता नाकारता येत नाही.

नागरिकांनी या काळात सतर्क राहावे. विशेषतः सखल भागांमध्ये आणि घाट रस्त्यांवर प्रवास करताना अधिक काळजी घेणे आवश्यक आहे. आपत्कालीन परिस्थितीत स्थानिक आपत्कालीन क्रमांकांवर संपर्क साधावा, असे आवाहन राज्याच्या आपत्ती व्यवस्थापन विभागाकडून करण्यात येत आहे.
