“When Kṛṣṇa sees that a living entity is very anxious to understand Him or to revive his Kṛṣṇa consciousness, then Kṛṣṇa gives him all opportunity, especially by manifesting Himself as the spiritual master. Antar bahiḥ. The spiritual master is therefore Kṛṣṇa’s manifestation, Kṛṣṇa’s mercy manifestation to help a person to develop his Kṛṣṇa consciousness. From within He’s helping. Therefore He’s called caitya-guru, and from without, He sends His representative to help how to become advanced in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
Therefore, to advance in Kṛṣṇa consciousness we require two kinds of help—one from Kṛṣṇa and another from the spiritual master. It is stated in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta”

“When the Lord descends on this material world by His all-merciful energy, He plays like a human being, and therefore it appears that the Lord is partial to His devotees only, but that is not a fact. Despite such apparent manifestation of partiality, His mercy is equally distributed. In the Battlefield of Kurukṣetra all persons who died in the fight before the presence of the Lord got salvation without the necessary qualifications because death before the presence of the Lord purifies the passing soul from the effects of all sins, and therefore the dying man gets a place somewhere in the transcendental abode. Somehow or other if someone puts himself open in the sun rays, he is sure to get the requisite benefit both by heat and ultraviolet rays. Therefore, the conclusion is that the Lord is never partial. It is wrong for the people in general to think of Him as partial.”

𝗞ṛṣṇ𝗮 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 Śrīla Prabhupāda personally instructed that every home should have the Kṛṣṇa Book, and he urged his followers: “Always read them, especially Kṛṣṇa book… Every time you have a spare moment, you should read.” Letter to: Trai, Hawaii, 5 May, 1972 This sacred book presents the transcendental pastimes of the Supreme Lord, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, as they are described in tenth canto Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam — the actual life and activities of the Absolute Truth, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨.. In these pages, Kṛṣṇa is revealed as the original Personality of Godhead, the protector of His devotees, the friend of every living being, and the eternal object of love for the conditioned soul. “So therefore Kṛṣṇa consciousness must be there. If we actually want to be free from the reaction of sinful life that we are doing, knowingly or unknowingly, then Kṛṣṇa consciousness must be there. Kṛṣṇa says, ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi [Bg. 18.66]. Therefore it is recommended, kīrtanīyaḥ sadā hariḥ [Śikṣāṣṭaka 3]. Always we have to be engaged in chanting: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma..., so that Kṛṣṇa will save us. Knowingly we cannot commit any sinful activities. That is one thing. Unknowingly also we cannot do it. Then we’ll be liable.
Therefore if you remain in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, if you always keep Kṛṣṇa within your mind, then... Just like when the sun is there, there cannot be any darkness. Similarly, if you keep kṛṣṇa sūrya, the Kṛṣṇa sun... That is our motto in the Back to Godhead: kṛṣṇa sūrya sama māyā andhakāra [Madhya 22.31]. Kṛṣṇa is just like brilliant sunshine, and the māyā, ignorance, is just like darkness. But when or while or where the sun is there, there cannot be any darkness. Similarly, you keep Kṛṣṇa in consciousness always, there cannot be any ignorance; there cannot be any darkness. You’ll be walking very freely in bright sunshine of Kṛṣṇa.”
