🌸 Chaddi Mubarak | Cleanliness & Civic Preparedness at Mattan 🌸

Today, Municipal Committee Mattan made extensive arrangements to warmly welcome the auspicious occasion of "Chaddi Mubarak". From yesterday itself, the temple premises and surrounding areas were thoroughly cleaned, along with the main market and other important locations across the town. 🪷
Our dedicated Safai Mitras once again stood at the forefront of the preparations. Their contribution deserves special appreciation, as they worked tirelessly to ensure cleanliness and proper arrangements at every location, including seating areas, public conveniences, parks and water bodies. Their efforts played an important role in making the occasion more welcoming and organized for everyone.✨️
Since early morning, the entire town was given a fresh lime lining, while the inner road from Paibugh towards Bumzoo Shrine was also cleared to ensure smooth movement and better public convenience. 🌹
The SHO Mattan, Fire & Emergency Services, Traffic Police and other concerned teams remained deployed from the morning. Traffic management was carried out simultaneously, ensuring that roads remained clear and vehicles were not allowed to obstruct the movement of the public.
We sincerely hope that this "Chaddi Mubarak" brings peace, prosperity, happiness and blessings into all our lives, and that the divine grace continues to guide and bless us all..

🇮🇳 Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan | National Pledge Against Drug Abuse 🇮🇳

Today on 18th August,2026 , Municipal Committee Mattan organized a National Pledge Against Drug Abuse at GHSS Mattan, as part of the 6th Year of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), in coordination with the District Administration. 🚭

Students and all participants collectively took the pledge in Hindi, English and Urdu, reaffirming our shared commitment to building a drug-free society. Everyone was also sensitized about staying away from drug abuse and the menace of drug trafficking.🚭

Drugs do not only destroy an individual; they destroy families, dreams and the future of society.🚫

🇮🇳 80th Independence Day Celebration at Municipal Committee Mattan 🇮🇳

Today, Municipal Committee Mattan celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotic spirit, enthusiasm and grandeur at Town Hall Mattan under the banner of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.

🇮🇳 “The tricolour is not just our flag; it is the pride, unity and identity of every Indian.” 🇮🇳

The programme was beautifully hosted and coordinated by Nodal Officer & Programme Host Mr. Sumeet Bhat , who presented the proceedings with great energy and dignity before the gathering.

The occasion was graced by Sh. Shabir Ahmad (AD Fisheries), Sh. Owais Saab (SHO Mattan), Sh. Vinod Ji (Assistant Commandant, BSF), along with his wife Smt. Rekha Ji, Sh. Fayaz Ahmad (I/c Fire & Emergency Services), Mrs. Sunita Ji (Supervisor, ICDS Mattan), Dr. Imran Wani (PHC Mattan), Sh. Ali Mohd Saab (Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Department), TSO (Food & Supplies Department), Ms. RJ Khushi (Journalist Radio Raabta 90.8 FM ) personnel from various paramilitary forces and officials from different departments.

🇮🇳 “Our strength lies in our unity, and our unity shines brightest beneath the Tiranga.” 🇮🇳

Students from ACE International School, BMS Mattan Bala and GMS Pranbawan added colour and vibrancy to the celebration with their wonderful cultural and patriotic performances. Their enthusiasm won the hearts of the guests and audience and made the occasion truly memorable.

🇮🇳 “The dreams in the eyes of our children are the hopes of a stronger and brighter India.” 🇮🇳

As a mark of appreciation and recognition, Guests, Departmental officials, Safai Mitras, Sanitary Supervisors, Hooper Drivers, Community Mobilisers and Section In-charges of Municipal Committee Mattan were felicitated for their valuable contribution and dedicated service. Certificates and mementos were presented to honour their commitment.

The celebration also became a moment of personal honour as Mr. Sumeet Bhat was felicitated for Best Programme Anchoring & Coordination, recognising his efforts in successfully conducting and coordinating the programme. 🎖

Today, Municipal Committee Mattan organized an engaging SWM (Solid Waste Management) Quiz with the students of BMS Mattan Bala. The enthusiastic students showcased their knowledge and talent by actively attempting the questions.
🏆 Certificates of appreciation were presented to the students securing First, Second & Third positions, encouraging them to continue learning and excelling.
The programme continued under the "Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign", where the students presented inspiring patriotic dances. Their enthusiasm and patriotic spirit ahead of Independence Day were truly remarkable. 🇮🇳❤️

🇮🇳 Tiranga Rally 🇮🇳

Today we at Municipal Committee Mattan organized a Tiranga Rally from Town Hall Mattan to Bumzoo Shrine, with the enthusiastic participation of our staff and various departments and educational institutions, including PHC Mattan, GHSS Mattan, GMS Pranbawan, ACE International School, ALIF Institute, Forest Department Mattan, and others. ✨️

The rally was further strengthened by the wholehearted participation of the brave personnel of BSF, CRPF and J&K Police, whose presence added pride and spirit to the occasion. 🇮🇳

The children enthusiastically raised “Har Ghar Tiranga” slogans throughout the rally, spreading the message of patriotism, unity and national pride.
🇮🇳 “Tiranga Hamari Shaan Hai, Bharat Hamari Jaan Hai!” 🇮🇳

Together, we celebrated the spirit of One Nation, One Pride, One Tiranga and made the rally a grand success.
