ഇന്ന്, NCP പ്രവർത്തകർ നെഞ്ചിലേറ്റിയ മുൻ സംസ്ഥാന അധ്യക്ഷൻ ശ്രീ ഉഴവൂർ വിജയന്റെ അഞ്ചാം ഓർമ്മ ദിനം. കോൺഗ്രസിലൂടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവർത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ച വിജയൻ പിന്നീട് കോൺഗ്രസ് പിളർന്നപ്പോൾ എ.കെ. ആന്റണിക്കൊപ്പം കോൺഗ്രസ് എസ്സിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി. കോൺഗ്രസ് എസ്. എൻ.സി.പി.യിൽ ലയിച്ചപ്പോൾ എൻസിപിയുടെ കേരളഘടകത്തിന്റെ പ്രമുഖ നേതാക്കൻമാരിളൊരാളായി തിളങ്ങി. തന്റെ സ്വതസിദ്ധശൈലിയിൽ എതിരാളികളെയടക്കം ചിരിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചിന്തിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ഉഴവൂർ പാർട്ടി പ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ പര്യായം കൂടിയായിരുന്നു. ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ 10.30ന് കോട്ടയം പ്രസ്സ് ക്ലബിൽ നടത്താനിരിക്കുന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ അനുസ്മരണയോഗവും പുരസ്കാര സമർപ്പണവും നടക്കും. ഇത്തവണ പുരസ്കാരത്തിനർഹനായ മന്ത്രി വി എൻ വാസവനും മുഖ്യപ്രഭാഷകനായി മന്ത്രി എ.കെ. ശശീന്ദ്രനും പങ്കെടുക്കും. ഏവർക്കും സ്വാഗതം.
