💧 Foundation Stone Laid for New Water Works at Dhandoli Kalan, Sangrur

The foundation stone of the New Water Works under NABARD RIDF–###I at Village Dhandoli Kalan, Block Dirba, District Sangrur, was laid by the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Punjab, S. Harpal Singh Cheema.

The project, approved at ₹101.70 lakh, includes a new tubewell, 50 KL OHSR, 7.528 km distribution network, 510 household water-meter connections, chlorination, pumping machinery and a 10 KW solar panel, strengthening reliable and sustainable drinking water supply in the village.

Honey Gupta, Executive Engineer, Water Supply & Sanitation Division, Sangrur, along with the concerned SDE, JE and departmental staff, was present on the occasion.

Hon’ble Shri Aman Arora, Cabinet Minister Punjab, inaugurated the foundation stone of three new water supply schemes — at Village Nagra (Block Bhawanigarh), Village Namol, and Village Mirzapatti Namol (Block Sunam, District Sangrur).

💧 Village Dhandouri, Block Adampur, District Jalandhar has achieved a milestone with 100% household water connections, ensuring every family receives regular safe drinking water. The GPWSC has maintained transparent records and efficient management, resulting in a strong financial position with a surplus of ₹1.5 lakh in its account. With 102 households, 102 connections, and a tariff of ₹100, the scheme stands as a model of community ownership, sustainability, and accountability.
