A Public Awareness Campaign & Disaster Response Training was conducted today at Gandhi Bhawan, Morigaon, for the staff of Nagaon Circle (Irrigation).
Organized by the Morigaon Laharighat Jagiroad Division (Irrigation) in collaboration with DDMA Morigaon, this initiative was carried out under the Non-Structural Component of Procurement of Steel Wire Rope for Existing Steel Barges to boost flood hazard reduction efforts.

- Flood Preparedness & Safety Measures
- First Aid & Rescue Techniques (Bandaging, Choking Management & Snake Bite Care)
- Earthquake, Lightning & Thunderstorm Safety
The sessions combined awareness talks with hands-on demonstrations, focusing on preparedness, quick decision-making, teamwork and effective first response during emergencies.
Strengthening the disaster response capacity of field-level Irrigation staff is a vital step towards protecting lives, infrastructure and agricultural communities during floods and other emergencies.
