But the International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain carries an even deeper significance.

Karon Shaiva, Founder Idobro Impact Solutions and Trustee RISE Infinity Foundation shares how the IWD theme is really about giving so that *
someone else gains.

Because before us, there were women across generations — and across centuries — who gave their courage, their voice, their effort, and often their freedom, so that the rest of us could gain.

They gave so that today we could vote.
They gave so that we could sit beside men as equals.
They gave so that we could enter boardrooms, workplaces, public spaces, and opportunities that were once denied to women.

They gave. We gained.

And that is why this theme matters.

It reminds us that progress is rarely accidental. It is built through the sacrifices, persistence, and contribution of many women who came before us. The least we can do is carry that spirit forward — by giving what we can, where we are, so that others may gain too.
