The IIFTC brought together industry leaders, creators and innovators from across the global media and entertainment ecosystem, offering a dynamic platform to highlight Italy’s strengths as a hub for film production, co-production and creative collaboration.
Our Italian companies showcased their expertise, built meaningful partnerships and explored new opportunities within the international film landscape. The event featured insightful discussions, a vibrant awards ceremony celebrating cinematic excellence and highly productive B2B meetings with film studios, producers and production houses.
From strengthening existing relationships to forging new ones, the IIFTC 2026 proved to be a valuable platform for promoting Italy’s excellence in the film & audiovisual industry.

The Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency - Mumbai & Italian Trade Agency - New Delhi. , successfully organised the India–Italy Business Forum on 10th & 11th of December in Mumbai.

A key highlight of the forum was the visit of Deputy Prime Minister H.E who was accompanied by a strong 50-member Italian business delegation. The delegation represented priority sectors including , , and SportsTechnologies, reflecting Italy’s keen interest in expanding cooperation with India across high-growth industries.

On 11 December, Mr. , Minister of Commerce and Industry , held a bilateral meeting with DPM Tajani at Mumbai. The discussions focused on ways to increase and diversify bilateral trade and investment, followed by both Ministers jointly chairing the India–Italy Business Forum.
During the visit, several sector-focused business roundtables were organized, covering automotive, agri-food, waste-to-energy and sports technologies. The two Ministers also met with Indian unicorns, engaging in discussions under the India–Italy Innovation Initiative, underscoring the shared commitment to innovation, startups and future-oriented partnerships.
Deputy Prime Minister Tajani emphasized the goal of increasing bilateral trade (target: €20 billion by 2029) and investments, particularly from India towards Italy.

Overall, India–Italy bilateral relations continue a strong upward trajectory, supported by regular high-level engagements, ministerial dialogues, and expanding private-sector collaboration, further reinforcing and diversifying the India–Italy Strategic Partnership. 🇮🇹🤝🇮🇳

Curated exclusively for Italian exhibiting companies participating at the ITA Pavilion, the session offered valuable insights into India’s fast-evolving cosmetics market. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of current market trends, along with a practical walkthrough of regulatory requirements and market-entry strategies for brands looking to establish a presence in India.
The seminar opened with a welcome address by H.E Walter Ferrara, Consul General of Italy in Mumbai , who emphasized the strong global reputation of Italian cosmetics—built on product quality, craftsmanship, and excellence.
One of our esteemed panelists and a true stalwart of the cosmetics industry, CEO of , highlighted that Italian brands are globally admired for their quality, design, formulation expertise, and innovation. He underscored that India offers immense opportunity—provided the market is approached with the right strategy.

Every year, OroArezzo, organized by ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP , welcomes the best selection of international buyers from both the most strategic and mature markets for Made in Italy exports and from countries with potential yet to be fully exploited.

The 43rd edition of OroArezzo took place from 11th May 2024 to 14th May 2024. The Italian Trade Agency - Mumbai along with Italian Exhibition Group Spa sponsored seven companies from India to visit the show to scout and collaborate with Italian counterparts.

The Italian Trade Agency – Mumbai organised an Italian Pavilion with 14 Italian finished cosmetic manufacturers at 2023.

The trade show that took place at was a resounding success, marked by a deep understanding of the market and an impactful B2B set of meetings for our Italian exhibitors who received an overwhelming response to their innovative ‘Made in Italy’ collection. Our Pavilion was a vibrant hub of creativity, featuring Italy’s most exciting and advanced developments of the cosmetic industry.

The live demonstrations at our ITA lounge enabled our exhibitors to showcase their products, which in turn attracted a lot of eager inquiries and positive feedback from makeup artists, visitors and bloggers alike.

Mr. Alessandro Liberatori - Director of Italian Trade Agency - New Delhi and Coordinator of the Italian Trade Agency for India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka were one of the invited dignitaries among other industry stalwarts at the inaugural ceremony. Mr. Liberatori in his speech quoted that, ‘”67 % of the make-up consumed in Europe is produced by Italian companies, globally reaching 55%. In Europe, our country is the third largest cosmetics economic system after Germany and France”. The show kicked off with an impressive turn out of global brands, manufacturers, distributors, and industry professionals.

The 17th edition of International FoodTec India, one of the prominent exhibitions in the sector in India, took place from 7th to 9th September 2023 at the Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The Italian Trade Agency - Mumbai organized a national pavilion with two top Italian companies in the sector displaying Italian excellence in :
PIGO srl, a world-class leader in the design and manufacturing of high freezing technology, and drying equipment, as well as fruit and vegetable processing machinery.
TECALIT Pasta Plants & Food Technologies Srl, an Italian manufacturer of industrial plants for and pellets.

As a net food exporter, India ranks second in global food production and is the world’s largest producer of many commodities. However, a negligible amount of produce is processed in India. As per a recent study prepared for our office by Infogence Research & Consulting Pvt. Ltd., projections indicate that the Indian Food Processing sector is poised to achieve significant growth, with an estimated value of EUR 646 Bn by 2027. This growth is expected to be driven by a commendable compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 11% over the next few years.
