We are deeply saddened by the passing of veteran Bollywood actor Pradeep Rawat at the age of 74.

With his powerful screen presence, he portrayed some of the most unforgettable villainous characters alongside many of Bollywood’s legendary comedians and actors. His remarkable performances and immense contribution to Indian cinema will always be remembered and cherished by generations of film lovers.

The news of his demise has sent shockwaves across the Bollywood film industry. It is truly heartbreaking to lose such a talented and respected artist.

All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) बॉलीवुड फिल्म उद्योग के समर्पित कैमरा अटेंडेंट श्री रमेश जोशी के असामयिक निधन पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त करती है।

रमेश जोशी प्राइम फोकस (Prime Focus) में कार्यरत थे। वह फिल्म की शूटिंग पूरी कर केवल एक दिन पहले ही अपने घर लौटे थे, लेकिन नियति को कुछ और ही मंजूर था। उनका इस तरह अचानक हम सबको छोड़कर चले जाना पूरे फिल्म उद्योग के लिए अत्यंत दुखद और अपूरणीय क्षति है।

सबसे अधिक पीड़ादायक यह है कि उनके पीछे उनकी डेढ़ वर्ष की मासूम बेटी और शोकाकुल परिवार है। इतनी कम उम्र में उनका संसार उजड़ जाना अत्यंत हृदय विदारक है।

ईश्वर से हमारी प्रार्थना है कि दिवंगत आत्मा को अपने श्रीचरणों में स्थान प्रदान करें, उन्हें शाश्वत शांति दें तथा इस कठिन समय में उनके परिवार, विशेषकर उनकी नन्ही बेटी को इस असहनीय दुःख को सहन करने की शक्ति, साहस और संबल प्रदान करें।

AICWA Mourns the Untimely Demise of Bhojpuri Actor Rohit Sharma

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) expresses its deepest condolences on the untimely demise of Bhojpuri actor Rohit Sharma, who passed away at the age of just 26. May Almighty God grant eternal peace to his soul and give strength to his grieving family.

On 20 July 2026, Rohit travelled to Malihabad, Uttar Pradesh, with a friend for the shooting of a Bhojpuri film. After completing the shoot on 21 July 2026, while returning home, a truck coming from the wrong side hit his motorcycle, leaving him critically injured. Despite receiving treatment at the hospital, he passed away.

According to his younger brother, Rohit was the sole earning member of the family. He is survived by his parents and younger brother. Due to family responsibilities, he had earlier stepped away from working as a film director. Recently, he had received an opportunity to return to the film industry, and it was for this assignment that he had travelled to Malihabad. His father works as a furniture craftsman, his mother is a homemaker, and the family’s livelihood depended on Rohit’s income.

With Rohit’s passing, his family has lost not only a beloved son and brother but also their only source of financial support. The pain of parents losing their eldest son is beyond words, and his younger brother has lost the person he looked up to as his greatest support and hope for a better future.

AICWA urges the Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji, to order a fair and thorough investigation into this tragic incident and ensure strict legal action against those found responsible. AICWA also requests the State Government to ensure that the truck owner provides adequate financial compensation to Rohit Sharma’s bereaved family so they can cope with this devastating loss and secure their future.

The Indian film industry has lost a talented artist far too soon. AICWA stands firmly with Rohit Sharma’s family in their pursuit of justice.

AICWA Demands Investigation into the Death of Actress Jinal Chouhan’s Brother, Krish Chouhan

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) expresses its deepest condolences to actress Jinal Chouhan and her family on the untimely demise of her 17-year-old brother, Krish Chouhan.

Actress Jinal Chouhan personally spoke with Er. Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, President of AICWA, and shared the complete details surrounding her brother’s hospitalization and death. Based on the information provided by the family, AICWA has taken serious note of the matter.

According to the family, Krish was initially admitted to Aarush Hospital, Virar East, after suffering from vomiting. He was later shifted to Riddhi Vinayak Hospital, Nalasopara West, and subsequently to Bombay Hospital, Marine Lines. The family has raised serious allegations of medical negligence, including delay in treatment, denial of timely medical care, and lapses in critical treatment during his hospitalization. These allegations require a fair, transparent, and impartial investigation.

The victim’s family has already lodged a formal complaint at Azad Maidan Police Station, Mumbai, seeking legal action and a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to Krish Chouhan’s death.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) will meet the Honourable Health Minister of Maharashtra and formally demand a inquiry into the treatment provided at Aarush Hospital, Virar East, Riddhi Vinayak Hospital, Nalasopara West, and Bombay Hospital, Marine Lines. If any hospital, doctor, or medical staff is found guilty of negligence or misconduct during the investigation, strict legal and administrative action must be taken against those responsible.

ऑल इंडिया सिने वर्कर्स एसोसिएशन (AICWA) के अध्यक्ष सुरेश श्यामलाल गुप्ता ने तेलंगाना के माननीय मुख्यमंत्री श्री रेवंत रेड्डी से मांग की है कि अभिनेता प्रभास की आगामी फिल्म फौजी की शूटिंग के दौरान अभिनेता राजेश शर्मा के साथ हुए गंभीर हादसे और उनकी अचानक बिगड़ी स्वास्थ्य स्थिति की उच्च स्तरीय, निष्पक्ष एवं पारदर्शी जांच कराई जाए।

उन्होंने कहा कि यह पता लगाया जाना आवश्यक है कि शूटिंग स्थल पर वास्तव में क्या हुआ था, क्या सभी सुरक्षा, स्वच्छता और आपातकालीन चिकित्सा प्रोटोकॉल का पालन किया गया था, तथा यदि किसी प्रकार की लापरवाही हुई है तो उसके लिए जिम्मेदार लोगों के विरुद्ध सख्त कार्रवाई की जाए।

AICWA का यह भी कहना है कि फिल्म के निर्माता और प्रोडक्शन हाउस इस पूरे मामले को दबाने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं। एसोसिएशन ने यह भी दावा किया है कि अभिनेता राजेश शर्मा पर भी कथित रूप से दबाव बनाया जा रहा है ताकि वह घटना की सच्चाई सार्वजनिक रूप से सामने न लाएं। AICWA ने इन आरोपों की भी निष्पक्ष जांच कर दोषियों के विरुद्ध उचित कानूनी कार्रवाई की मांग की है।

AICWA alleges that instead of accepting responsibility and ensuring complete transparency, efforts are being made by the producers and the production house of Fauji to suppress the matter. Time and again, whenever a serious accident occurs on a film set, the priority appears to shift towards controlling the narrative rather than ensuring accountability and the welfare of the affected artist or worker.

This is not an isolated incident. The Indian film industry has witnessed several tragic on-set accidents in the past where workers and artists have lost their lives. These repeated incidents raise serious concerns about the treatment of injured individuals after such accidents. Instead of ensuring immediate access to the best available medical care and taking full responsibility, there have been recurring allegations that the priority is to contain the controversy while victims are left without the urgent support they desperately need. Such an approach places human lives at unacceptable risk and demands strict accountability.

The incident involving Rajesh Sharma was extremely serious, and AICWA believes it could have resulted in the loss of his life. No artist or technician should ever be left without proper support after suffering such a grave accident while performing professional duties. Attempts to conceal the truth cannot erase what happened. The facts will emerge through an impartial investigation, and accountability must follow.

Er.
