Mr. Sandeep Bhura, Managing Director, Seeds & Grains India Pvt. Ltd. and Chairman, IOPEPC, participated in the inauguration ceremony marking the entry into force of the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), held at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhura described CETA as a landmark development for India’s agricultural export sector, one that will meaningfully improve market access, reduce trade barriers, and reinforce India’s competitive standing in the United Kingdom. He noted that the agreement marks a decisive step forward for exporters of oilseeds, spices, pulses, and allied agri-commodities, opening new avenues for growth in a high-value international market.

The RoDTEP scheme is back at full strength, restoring the full rebate rates and providing exporters with greater opportunities to enhance competitiveness in global markets.

For the oilseed sector, the advantage continues—products under ITC HS Chapters 01 to 24 remain exempt from the rebate cuts, ensuring uninterrupted benefits for exporters.

With transferable duty credit scrips, improved cash flow, and competitive pricing, this is a significant step towards strengthening India’s export ecosystem.
