When the algorithm moves on, recovery begins.

Your Instagram feed may have stopped showing the floods. Assam hasn’t stopped recovering.

When disasters disappear from our screens, they often disappear from our minds. But for thousands of families in Assam, the hardest part begins after the headlines fade.

Together, Shakti Welfare Association and Aashayein Foundation are supporting the next phase of recovery, because rebuilding lives takes far longer than the news cycle.

Over the past few weeks, more than 2,000 flood-affected families across 15 locations in Assam have received essential support through carefully assessed on-ground relief efforts. Grocery kits, hygiene kits, sanitary napkins, mosquito nets, bed sheets, clothing, stationery kits, drinking water and other essential supplies have reached families who needed them most, with the invaluable support of local volunteers and the Indian Army, ensuring safe and orderly distribution.

Today, the need has shifted from immediate relief to long-term recovery.

As attention moves elsewhere, families continue rebuilding their homes, restoring their livelihoods, and helping their children return to school. This is where sustained support matters most.

We invite you to be a part of this journey.

Every time you tell a child “don’t cry,” “stop being dramatic,” or “be strong,” you are not making them strong, you are actually making them weaker and breaking them.

You think you are raising a tough kid. Neuroscience proves you are doing the exact opposite: chronic emotional suppression locks the brain’s nervous system in survival mode, destroying emotional regulation, brain clarity, and independent decision-making.

By forcing children to swallow their feelings, you aren’t raising leaders, you are raising mentally fragile adults who live in constant fear internally, lose their agency, lack clarity, and crumble under pressure.

True intelligence isn’t a report card or top grades. The real test comes when school ends and life begins. That’s when the childhood suppression you enforced shows up as anxiety, indecision, and internal burnout.

We don’t need another generation of expert actors who only know how to pretend they are strong.
It’s time to stop the damage. Reform your parenting. Fix what we teach in schools.

Let’s stop raising children crippled by fear, and start raising true leaders, adults who know how to feel, think clearly, and lead with genuine internal strength.

Creating nothing but leaders.
Restoring the strength they were born with, one school at a time.

If someone in your life holds up the sky so you can chase your dreams, tag her below with a yellow heart 💛 and let her know she is seen and appreciated.

Your rights are not subject to permission. They belong to you.

Had these women waited for approval…
girls would still be denied classrooms,
women would still be denied courtrooms,
choices would still belong to someone else.

They didn’t wait.
They stood up.
They challenged.
They changed history.

Savitribai Phule refused to stop teaching girls despite being attacked with stones and dung.

Cornelia Sorabji spent decades fighting for women to be accepted in India’s courtrooms.

Rani Lakshmibai fought a war to defend what was already hers.

Dr. Rukhmabai challenged child marriage and chose freedom over surrender, changing the course of women’s rights in India.

Nergesh Meerza challenged discriminatory service rules in the Supreme Court, proving that marriage could never determine a woman’s career.

Satya Rani Chadha turned unimaginable loss into a lifelong fight against dowry violence, seeking justice for her daughter for 34 years.

The freedoms we inherit today are not acts of generosity.
They are the legacy of women who refused to believe that dignity needed permission.

At Shakti, we tell these stories to remind every woman that her rights are hers, her voice matters, and her strength has always been her greatest power. We are here to always remind you of the Shakti within you. 💛

This isn’t a team photograph. It’s a reflection of who we’ve chosen to be.

From the very beginning, our team made a conscious decision.

Shakti would have one face.

Not because individual stories don’t matter, but because no single person should become bigger than the purpose we serve.

You’ll rarely see us tagging every team member. You’ll rarely see individual introductions. And you’ll almost never see our team standing in front of the work we’ve done.

Instead, we’ve chosen to stand behind it.

Every yellow T-shirt carries the same responsibility. Every pair of shoulders carries the same commitment. Every step moves in the same direction.

When one person is recognised, the entire team celebrates. When one initiative succeeds, the credit belongs to everyone who quietly made it possible.

That’s the culture we’ve built.

One identity. One purpose. One promise.

So perhaps it’s fitting that this photograph doesn’t show our faces.

Because this has never been about who we are.

It has always been about why we show up.

And if there’s one thing we hope every woman, every child, and every family who reaches out to Shakti remembers, it’s this:

You may not always know the faces behind Shakti.

But you’ll always know that Shakti has your back.

They say the greatest force in the world is Shakti, the primal energy of creation, protection, and shelter.

For us, Shakti is the living, breathing philosophy of our founder, Shraddha Shenoy. She has always anchored this association on a single, uncompromising truth: that true achievement isn’t measured in milestones, but in the number of lives we touch.

So, how do you celebrate a leader who only counts her wealth in human connection? You give her a legacy that grows.

At the Naad Brahma Gurukul in Alandi, we rooted our love in the soil with a tree plantation drive alongside the Gurukul’s visionary founder, Nandaraj Patil. This powerful day of service was seamlessly brought to life by the incredible team at Warm and Delicious. They took care of absolutely everything, from crafting a beautiful menu to personally carrying the comfort and warmth of that food right to the children, turning a meal into a true celebration of care.

For a founder who has given her entire heart to lifting others, we couldn’t have gifted anything more perfect than watching the world bloom a little brighter in her honour.

Happy Birthday to the one who started it all.

Most people remember Draupadi for what happened to her.

Few remember her for what she did next.

She didn’t beg.
She didn’t surrender.
She didn’t argue with emotion.

She asked questions.

Questions about authority.
Questions about legal capacity.
Questions about accountability.
Questions that compelled an entire Sabha to confront Dharma.

Long before courtrooms existed in their present form, Draupadi demonstrated something every lawyer understands:

The right question can be more powerful than the strongest argument.

This carousel is not about rewriting the Mahabharata through modern law.

It is about recognising that one of the greatest legal minds in the epic was not seated on the throne or among the elders, it was the woman who refused to stop questioning.

Now here’s the question for you:

Which of Draupadi’s questions do you think was the most powerful, and why?

Or do you believe there is another legal or ethical question from the Mahabharata that deserves to be part of this conversation?

Let’s discuss.

It sounds funny because it’s familiar.

It also reflects something many girls learn much earlier than they should.

Speak a little softer.
Laugh a little less.
Don’t be “too ambitious.”
Don’t be “too opinionated.”
Don’t be “too much.”

Over time, making yourself smaller starts to feel normal.

Research has consistently shown that girls are often socialised to be agreeable, accommodating and conflict-avoidant, while boys are more frequently encouraged to be assertive and independent. These messages don’t always come from one person or one place, they’re reinforced through families, schools, workplaces and society.

The law recognises equality.

The challenge is making sure confidence gets the same recognition.

So here’s your reminder, Sakhi:

Take up space.
Use your voice.
Set boundaries.

The world has enough people asking women to shrink.

Shakti will always remind them not to.

Women can find:
✔ Lost socks
✔ Missing documents
✔ School projects due tomorrow
✔ The charger nobody else can find
✔ Solutions to everyone’s problems

But ask us what we need right now?

Suddenly, we’re buffering. ⏳

Somewhere between being everything for everyone, we forget to be something for ourselves.

So here’s your reminder, Sakhi:

स्वयं को ढूंढो.
बाकी सब Google पर है.

💛

To all our Shaktis,

“सबको पसंद आ जाऊँ, पैसा थोड़ी हूँ।”

Read that again, slowly. 😉

Not everyone will like you.
Not everyone will understand you.
Not everyone deserves access to you.

And that’s okay.

You’re not here to collect approvals like Pokémon cards.

Be kind.
Be confident.
Set boundaries.
Stay fabulous.

The people meant for you will never require you to become less of yourself.

Respectfully,

Not everyone’s cup of chai. ☕✨
