Just returned from Gadchiroli, one of Maharashtra's most remote districts, where we planned a last-mile governance and service saturation campaign.
A few days on the ground reinforced an important lesson: in public service delivery, the biggest barriers are often the smallest ones - a missing document, a connectivity issue, or the distance to the nearest government office.
I've shared some reflections from the field on what last-mile governance actually looks like, the lessons from household visits, and why Gadchiroli remains one of the most important districts for testing governance reforms in Maharashtra.
