In Girgaon, Building No. 31A on Mama Parmanand Marg has been categorized as extremely dangerous. That one phrase carries a lot of weight. It means the risk is real, and action cannot be delayed.

The instruction to vacate the building at the earliest is not just administrative. It is a protective step, taken before the monsoon adds to the danger.

Citizen cooperation remains essential, because safety works best when administration and residents move together.

Dadar’s inspection reminded us why pre-monsoon preparedness has to begin on ground, not on paper.

At Ilam Mahal and Goregaonkar Wadi, the concern was not just the condition of old structures, but the safety of the people still living inside them.

Where evacuation is needed, it must happen in time. Where redevelopment can be examined, it must move through proper coordination with landowners and surrounding cessed buildings, as per DCR 33(7) or 33(9).

Safety first. Process next. Responsibility throughout.

This inspection was not just about identifying unsafe structures. It was about taking a difficult but necessary step before the monsoon makes the risk greater.

Asking families to vacate a building is never easy. But when a structure is severely dilapidated and dangerous, safety has to come first.

The focus remains on timely action, due process, and support as per prevailing rules.
