Hazrat Sufi Sarmad Shaheed (quddus sirrahu al-aziz)

Sufi Sarmad Shaheed were also a poet and his ecstatic verses in poetry are famous. The collection of your writings is named "رباعیات سرمد نغمہء ابد."

Prince Dara Shikoh respected and loved Hazrat Sufi Sarmad.

He lived in a mystical state, always immersed in the manifestation of Allah. This is why you only recited the phrase "لااله" in your prayers. If asked to recite more, you would say, "I am still on the journey of negation. When I experience the divine, then I can recite the complete Kalma." This perspective became well-known.

After the murder of Prince Dara Shikoh, Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir ascended the throne. Mulla Qawi declared apostasy based on Sufi Sarmad's state.

Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir knew about Sufi Sarmad state but, to prevent confusion among the public and to uphold the sanctity of the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ teachings, he announced your ex*****on. Despite that, Sufi Sarmad neither repented nor refrained from his unique state.

Shah Asadullah Dervish advised repentance and reciting the complete Kalma, but he insisted that the story of Hussain ibn Mansoor Hallaj was outdated, and he wanted to revive it.

In 1070 Hijri, when you were brought for ex*****on and refused to cover your face, as your sacred head was severed, the sound of reciting the complete Kalma three times echoed.

Sufi Sarmad, in that state, climbed the steps of Jama Masjid, holding his head. He spiritual guide, Hazrat Hare Bhare Shah's voice was heard, asking, "Sarmad, where are you going?" You replied, "I am going to the court of the Prophet ﷺ to plead my case. " Hazrat Hare Bhare Shah said, "You have reached your destination. Act with restraint. Do not utter a word for the rest of your life. What was this fiery zeal and grandeur for today? It was the demand of the pure Sharia; otherwise, Aurangzeb acknowledges your stature and greatness." Sufi Sarmad then fell silent.

On the 18th of Rabi-uṡ-Ṡaani, 1070 Hijri, you embraced martyrdom, and every year, his Urs is commemorated on the 18th of Rabi-uṡ-Aakhir.

Hazrat Sultan Shamsuddin Altamash (quddus sirrahu al-aziz)

He was also known as Shams ud-Din Iltutmish (Reign: 1211–1236 AD), was the third of the Mamluk kings who ruled the former Ghurid territories in northern India. He was the first Muslim sovereign to rule from Delhi and is thus considered the effective founder of the Delhi Sultanate.

He was a kind-hearted king and a paragon of justice. Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz, Hazrat Sayyid Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri (radiyallahu anhu), held him in high regard. However, he was Hazrat Khwaja Sayyid Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki's (quddus sirrahu al-aziz) special disciple and chief deputy. He had great respect for the people of the Chishti order. Although outwardly a ruler of Hindustan, inwardly, he belonged among the ranks of the poor and the mystics. He ate sparingly, spent long nights awake, and sometimes slept for only a few moments. He never troubled his servants for any task, even when waking up in the middle of the night. Instead of ordering someone, he would fetch water from the well and perform ablution himself.

After Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti passed away the Mamluk Sultan of Delhi, Sultan Shams-ud-din Iltutmish erected a dargah in the south-west corner of the city of Ajmer, he was also the first one who offered a Chadar (shawl) at the Dargah.
Sultan Shams-ud-din Iltutmish also led the Janazah of Hazrat Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Khaki (1173 - 1235), the spiritual successor of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

He passed away on the 20th of Shabaan in the year 633 or 634 H.

His blessed mazar is located inside the Qutub Minar Complex, Mehrauli, Delhi, India.
