As part of its efforts to promote cultural exchange between Egypt and India, the Consulate General of Egypt in Mumbai organized “Mumbai: Indo-Egyptian Film Festival” in collaboration with the Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB), at the Geen Technology Auditorium of the University of Mumbai , one of the most ancient and most prestigious universities in India.

“Mumbai: Indo-Egyptian Film Festival” that took place on the 14th and the 15th of July 2026 represented a great opportunity to foster cultural exchange between Egypt and India, especially among the University of Mumbai students.

The Festival included, in addition to the screening of two Egyptian movies (Hob el Banat & Photocopy) and two Indian movies (Rainbow fields & Dishaa), many more activities such as cultural and musical performances, masterclasses, tourism promotion and networking.

In her speech at the opening ceremony , Mrs. Dahlia Tawakol, Consul General of Egypt, highlighted the role of cinema as an important aspect of cultural exchange between Egypt and India, especially that cinema constitutes one of the most significant soft powers in both countries and has long served as a solid and deep-rooted cultural bridge between their peoples.

In addition, the Consul General expressed her sincere thanks to the University of Mumbai under the leadership of Vice -Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni for facilitating the organization of the “Mumbai: Indo-Egyptian Film Festival” at the Green Technology Auditorium, a gesture that lended the event particular significance and contributed to promoting cultural exchange between Egypt and India and encouraged creative engagement, particularly among the university students.

She also commended the role played by Ms. Jayita Ghosh , Chairperson of the Film and Media Committee at the ICIB in order to make the festival a big success.

The Consul General thanks were also extended to the Egyptian National Center of Cinema for its role in providing the two Egyptian movies as well as for the special address given by its Director Dr. Ahmed Saleh to the Fedtival participants, and to Egypt Air Office in Mumbai for its partnership in promoting tourism in Egypt in the context of the Fedtival program by offering two lucky draw tickets to the university students who participated in the Festival.

في إطار جهودها لتعزيز التبادل الثقافي بين مصر والهند، نظمت القنصلية العامة لجمهورية مصر العربية في مومباي "مهرجان مومباي للأفلام المصرية - الهندية" بالتعاون مع الغرفة الهندية للأعمال الدولية (ICIB)، وذلك في قاعة "التكنولوجيا الخضراء" (Green Technology Auditorium) بجامعة مومباي، التي تُعد واحدة من أعرق الجامعات وأكثرها تميزاً في الهند.

مثّل برنامج المهرجان -الذي أقيم يومي 14 و15 يوليو 2026- فرصةً هامة لتعزيز التبادل الثقافي بين مصر والهند، ولا سيما بين طلاب جامعة مومباي. وقد تضمن البرنامج، إلى جانب عرض فيلمين مصريين ("حب البنات" و"فوتوكوبي") وفيلمين هنديين ("Rainbow Fields" و"Dishaa")، العديد من الفعاليات الأخرى مثل العروض الثقافية والموسيقية، وورش العمل المتخصصة (Masterclasses)، وأنشطة الترويج السياحي، وفرص التواصل وبناء العلاقات.

وفي كلمتها خلال حفل الافتتاح، سلطت السيدة داليا توكل، القنصل العام لمصر في مومباي، الضوء على دور السينما كعنصر هام في التبادل الثقافي بين البلدين؛ إذ تُعد السينما إحدى أبرز أدوات القوة الناعمة لدي كل من مصر والهند، ولطالما شكلت جسراً ثقافياً راسخاً وعميق الجذور يربط بين شعبي البلدين.

بالإضافة الي ذلك، أعربت القنصل العام عن خالص شكرها لجامعة مومباي، تحت قيادة البروفيسور رافيندرا كولكارني، لتسهيل تنظيم "مهرجان مومباي للسينما الهندية-المصرية" في قاعة "جرين تكنولوجي" (Green Technology Auditorium)؛ وهي بادرة أضفت على الحدث أهمية خاصة، وساهمت في تعزيز التبادل الثقافي بين مصر والهند، وشجعت على التفاعل الإبداعي، لا سيما في أوساط طلاب الجامعة.

كما أشادت بالدور الذي قامت به السيدة جاييتا غوش، رئيسة لجنة السينما والإعلام في ICIB، من أجل تحقيق نجاح كبير للمهرجان.

كما أعربت السيدة القنصل العام عن شكرها للمركز القومي للسينما بمصر لدوره في توفير الفيلمين المصريين ولقيام رئيسه ، السيد الدكتور أحمد صالح، بتوجيه كلمةً خاصة للمشاركين في المهرجان، وكذلك لمكتب شركة "مصر للطيران" في مومباي على شراكته في الترويج للسياحة في مصر ضمن فعاليات المهرجان، وذلك من خلال تقديم تذكرتين (عبر السحب العلني ) لطلاب الجامعات المشاركين في المهرجان.

تشرفت السيدة / داليا توكل، القنصل العام لجمهورية مصر العربية في مومباي، باستقبال الدكتورة ألبا أنطاني، المديرة الإقليمية لاتحاد الصناعات الهندية (CII) في المنطقة الغربية، والسيد راجيف ميشرا، مدير باتحاد الصناعات الهندية في المنطقة الغربية، وذلك في مقر القنصلية العامة المصرية في مومباي. وقد مثّل اللقاء فرصةً هامةً لمناقشة سبل تعزيز التجارة الثنائية ، وتدفقات الاستثمار، والتعاون الاقتصادي بين مصر والهند 🇪🇬🇮🇳

تُهدي قنصلية جمهورية مصر العربية أطيب تحياتها، وتتشرف بالإحاطة بأنه
في إطار الجهود التي تبذلها وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي والمصريين بالخارج لتيسير المعاملات القنصلية للمواطنين في الخارج، واستحداث خدمات قنصلية إلكترونية جديدة، ومن خلال التنسيق والتعاون المستمر مع وزارة الداخلية، فقد تم تفعيل خدمة إصدار صحيفة الحالة الجنائية المميكنة للمصريين في الخارج (إصدار ثانٍ لمن سبق لهم إصدار صحيفة حالة جنائية مميكنة من قبل) عبر بوابة مصر الرقمية، شريطة سريان جواز السفر أو بطاقة الرقم القومي لطالب الصحيفة.

ويُسمح بتسليم الصحيفة لأحد أقارب المواطن من الدرجة الأولى أو بموجب توكيل رسمي، على أن يتم استلامها من المقر الرئيسي للإدارة العامة لتحقيق الأدلة الجنائية بميدان العباسية بمحافظة القاهرة.

هذا، وتنتهز قنصلية جمهورية مصر العربية في مومباي هذه المناسبة لتعرب عن خالص تقديرها لأعضاء الجالية المصرية في ولاية مهارشترا والولايات المحيطة.

في إطار الحرص على التواصل مع أعضاء الجالية المصرية بولاية مهارشترا والولايات الجنوبية المحيطة بها، عقدت السيدة / داليا توكل، القنصل العام لجمهورية مصر العربية بمومباي اجتماعًا افتراضيًا مع عدد من أعضاء الجالية المصرية بهذه الولايات، حيث أكدت علي الحرص الدائم من جانب القنصلية علي التواصل مع أبناء الجالية المصرية والاطمئنان علي اوضاعهم وتقديم مختلف أوجه الدعم والمساعدة لهم ، خاصة اتصالا بتقنين اوضاعهم في محال إقامتهم بالهند فصلا عن تقديم مختلف الخدمات والمعاملات القنصلية .
كما أوضحت السيدة القنصل العام حرص وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي وشئون المصريين بالخارج علي إطلاق العديد من المبادرات التي من شأنها ان تساهم في تعزيز ترابط أبناء الجالية بوطنهم الأم ، مشيرة الي ان القنصلية ترحب بأية استفسارات متعلقة بهذه المبادرات وكيفية الاستفادة منها.
وفي ضوء قرب بدء العام الدارسي الجديد بالهند ، أعربت سيادتها عن خالص تمنياتها للطلاب والطالبات المشاركين في الاجتماع بالتوفيق والنجاح ، مشيرة الي ترحيب القنصلية بأية افكار مبتكرة من جانبهم يمكن ان تساهم في نشر الثقافة المصرية في محيط المدارس والجامعات المقيدين بها .
ومن جانبهم ، أعرب أعضاء الجالية عن تقديرهم لتنظيم هذا الاجتماع الافتراضي مشيرين الي تطلعهم الدائم الي المشاركة حضوريا ايضا في اللقاءات والفعاليات الثقافية المختلفة التي تنظمها القنصلية ،الامر الذي يجدد شعورهم بدفء أرض الوطن.

As part of its continued engagement with the Egyptian community in the State of Maharashtra and the surrounding southern States, H.E. Mrs. Dahlia Tawakol , Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Mumbai, held a virtual meeting with some members of the Egyptian community. H.E. Mrs.Tawakol emphasized the Consulate's ongoing dedication to engaging with community members, checking on their well-being, and providing various forms of support and assistance, particularly regarding the legalization of their residency status in India and the provision of consular services.
The Consul General also highlighted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' commitment to launching initiatives designed to strengthen the bonds between the Egyptian community members and their homeland, noting that the Consulate welcomes inquiries regarding these initiatives and how to benefit from them.
With the new academic year in India approaching, H.E. Mrs.Tawakol extended her best wishes for success to the students participating in the meeting, noting the Consulate's openness to innovative ideas from them that could help promote Egyptian culture within their respective schools and universities.
Form their part, the Egyptian community members expressed their appreciation for organizing this virtual meeting, noting their eagerness to also participate in person in the various cultural events organized by the Consulate which renew their sense of connection to the warmth of the homeland.

في اطار التواصل البناء بين القنصلية العامة لجمهورية مصر العربية بمومباي و غرفة مومباي للتجارة والصناعة BCCI , شارك السيد الدكتور/ أحمد مهينة، رئيس قطاع التخطيط الاستراتيجي ومتابعة الأداء الكهربائي بوزارة الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة ، افتراضيا في اعمال " ملتقي مهارشترا لقيادة قطاع الطاقة " الذي نظمته الغرفة تحت شعار " صياغة حلول الطاقة من اجل الجيل القادم في مهارشترا"، حيث كان سيادته المتحدث في الجلسة المعنونة " بناء منظومات طاقة مستعدة للمستقبل: التعاون بين حكومة ولاية مهارشترا والحكومة المصرية من أجل نمو مستدام ".
استهلّ الدكتور / مهينة كلمته بالتأكيد على عمق العلاقات التاريخية بين مصر والهند ومحورية تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثماري بينهما، خاصة في قطاع الطاقة لكونه ركيزة التقدم الصناعي والنمو الاقتصادي.كما سلط الضوء على الإمكانيات الهائلة التي تمتلكها مصر في قطاع الطاقة، سواء اتصالا بالطاقة الشمسية، أو طاقة الرياح، أو الهيدروجين الأخضر، وذلك ارتكازاً على موقعها الجغرافي وثرواتها الطبيعية ومناخها، مستعرضاً مختلف الإجراءات والبرامج التي تقوم الحكومة المصرية بتنفيذها من أجل التحول نحو الطاقة النظيفة كركيزة للنمو الاقتصادي، حيث أنه من المستهدف رفع نسبة الطاقة المتجددة الي 42% بحلول 2035.
كما تناول أهمية التعاون الدولي في تسريع التحول نحو الطاقة المستدامة، وتعزيز أمن الطاقة، وأهمية تبادل المعرفة في مجالات التكنولوجيا والطاقة المتجددة وتطوير البنية التحتية، مشيراً الي حرص الحكومة المصرية على تعزيز دور القطاع الخاص وهو الامر الذي يفتح المجال للتعاون المشترك مع الجانب الهندي بشكل عام وولاية مهارشترا ذات الثقل الاقتصادي الأكبر بالهند بشكل خاص.

In light of the constructive engagement between the Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Mumbai and the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Dr. Ahmed Mahina—Head of the Strategic Planning and Performance Monitoring Sector at the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy—participated virtually in the "Maharashtra Energy Leadership Conclave,” organized by the Chamber under the theme of « Shaping Maharashtra’s Next-generation Energy solutions »
During the session titled "Building Future-Ready Energy Systems: Collaboration between the Government of Maharashtra and the Egyptian Government for Sustainable Growth,” Dr. Mahina addressed the deep historical relations between Egypt and India and the pivotal importance of strengthening economic and investment cooperation between the two countries , particularly in the energy sector, which serves as a cornerstone for industrial progress and economic growth.
Dr. Mahina highlighted Egypt’s significant potential in the energy sector, whether from solar or wind, as well as the green hydrogen—leveraging the country's strategic geographic location, natural resources, and climate. He also outlined the measures and programs the Egyptian government is implementing to transition toward clean energy as a driver of economic growth, noting the target to increase the share of renewable energy to 42% by 2035.
Furthermore, Dr. Manisha addressed the importance of international cooperation in accelerating the transition to sustainable energy and enhancing energy security, as well as the value of knowledge exchange regarding technology, renewable energy, and infrastructure development. He pointed to the Egyptian government's commitment to bolstering the role of the private sector, an approach that opens doors to enhancing cooperation with the Indian side in general, and the State of Maharashtra—India’s economic powerhouse—in particular.

H.E. Mrs.Dahlia Tawakol, Consul General of Egypt in Mumbai, had the pleasure of receiving at her office Mr. Indranil Sen, Head-MENA, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. The meeting addressed ways and means of enhancing collaboration and partnership in the pharma industry, especially within the potential of investment opportunities that Egypt offers in this sector and for being one of the largest markets in the Middle East with its growing population and the increase of the healthcare demands.
During the meeting, H.E. Mrs. Tawakol highlighted the significance of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, particularly as it offers international investors a strategic manufacturing and logistics hub to expand their exports across the Middle East and Africa.

H.E. Mrs. Dahlia Tawakol, Consul General of Egypt, had the pleasure of holding a meeting with Mr. Sushil Khopde, Additional Director General of Shipping, Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways. During the meeting, the Consul General represented StREAM (Suez Canal–Red Sea Maritime Economic Development) initiative that was launched by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in October 2025. The initiative serves as a strategic framework to develop the blue economy, enhance maritime trade, strengthen connectivity, and promote sustainable economic growth in the Red Sea Region , as well as restore confidence in the essential role of the Suez Canal in the global trade.

عقدت السيدة داليا توكل، القنصل العام لجمهورية مصر العربية، اجتماعا مع السيد سوشيل خوبدي، نائب المدير العام لهيئة الملاحة البحرية الهندية التابعة لوزارة الموانئ والملاحة والممرات المائية. وخلال الاجتماع، استعرضت السيدة القنصل العام مبادرة "StREAM" (مبادرة التنمية الاقتصادية البحرية لقناة السويس والبحر الأحمر) التي أطلقتها وزارة الخارجية المصرية في أكتوبر 2025؛ حيث تُعد هذه المبادرة إطاراً استراتيجياً يهدف إلى تطوير الاقتصاد الأزرق، وتعزيز التجارة البحرية والربط البيني، ودفع عجلة النمو الاقتصادي المستدام في منطقة البحر الأحمر، فضلاً عن استعادة الثقة في الدور المحوري لقناة السويس في التجارة العالمية .
