A delegation of senior officers from the Directorate of Languages, Government of Maharashtra, visited the National Translation Mission (NTM), Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, on 2 September 2026 to discuss matters related to the translation of academic content and explore avenues for institutional collaboration.
The delegation comprising Shri Arun Gite, Director of Languages; Shri Santosh Gosavi, Assistant Director of Languages; and translators Shri Namdev Koli and Shri Anand Gangan held discussions with Prof. Basavaraja Kodagunti, Director, CIIL, and Dr. Tariq Khan, Officer-in-Charge, NTM, for developing a roadmap for translating academic content and strengthening translation initiatives in Marathi and other Indian and foreign languages.
