📍NVHCP Monitoring Visit to Nagaon

Today, Dr. Subhajyoti De, Senior Consultant, Central NVHCP Division and Mr. Amit Kumar Chaudhury, Consultant, State NVHCP Division, SHQ, NHM, Assam, visited B. P. Civil Hospital and Nagaon Medical College & Hospital to monitor the implementation of the National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP).

The team was accompanied by DSO, Dr. M. K. Nath, DME, Epidemiologist (IDSP), Data Manager and Data Entry Operator.

The team held discussions with the Joint DHS, Nagaon, regarding the availability and strengthening of hepatitis treatment services at the primary healthcare level. The Meetings were also conducted with the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of B. P. Civil Hospital, Superintendent of NMCH and HOD, Microbiology dept, NMCH, Nagaon.

🔍 Key facilities monitored included Blood Bank, Treatment & Screening Centres, Laboratories, HCW Vaccination Centre, ICTC, ART Centre, Dialysis Centre, NICU, DPHL, VRDL, Pharmacy & Store and other diagnostic services.
The visit focused on strengthening coordination, improving service delivery and ensuring effective implementation of NVHCP across the district.
