National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur conducted the Deekshant Parade of the 29th Batch of B.Tech. Fire Engineering students on 29th May 2026.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of four years of rigorous academic, physical and professional training by 64 graduating students, including three women cadets, who are now prepared to serve the nation in the fields of fire engineering, industrial safety, disaster management and emergency response.
The parade was graced by Dr. Atul Vaidya, Vice-Chancellor, Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University (LITU), as the Chief Guest and Dr. A. R. Sontake, Director & Professor, NFSC. The ceremonial parade was commanded by Satyam Pathak, whose contingent displayed exceptional discipline and precision during the ceremonial march-past.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vaidya highlighted the national importance of Fire Engineering in safeguarding lives, industries and critical infrastructure, while appreciating NFSC’s contributions towards research, innovation and fire safety education. Dr. Sontake informed that the 29th Batch brought laurels to the institution through an international patent and technical paper presentations at the Fire India International Conference. He also announced admissions for the 33rd Batch of B.Tech. Fire Engineering commenced from 15th May and are receiving an overwhelming response from JEE aspirants nationwide reflecting the growing recognition of Fire Engineering as a promising career opportunity in India and abroad.
The event was attended by parents, faculty members, NFSC alumni, officers, staff members, invited guests and media representatives, who gathered to celebrate this proud milestone in the lives of the graduating students. The ceremony concluded with prize distribution followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Gyan Singh, Deputy Director, NFSC.
