The S&T PRISM 5.0 Interactive Workshop & TEC Meeting was inaugurated at JNARDDC, Nagpur, on 29th May 2026, bringing together innovators, industry leaders, and experts from India’s critical minerals sector.
The event featured dignitaries including Dr. R. Ratheesh, Director General, C-MET; Shri Sukhdeep Singh, Director, Ministry of Mines; Dr. Anupam Agnihotri, TEC Chairman & Director, JNARDDC; and Shri R. N. Chouhan, Member Secretary, TEC, along with TEC members and representatives from 33 shortlisted start-ups, MSMEs, and innovators.
Shri Sukhdeep Singh reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to innovation for sustainable development and critical mineral security. Dr. R. Ratheesh highlighted S&T PRISM’s role in helping innovators move from proof-of-concept to pilot-scale development.
Dr. Anupam Agnihotri stressed the need for indigenous critical mineral technologies and explained the shift from conventional evaluation to an interactive workshop to encourage collaboration and mentorship.
Under S&T PRISM 5.0, the Ministry of Mines invited proposals across the critical minerals value chain. Of 81 proposals received, 33 were shortlisted for technical evaluation during the two-day workshop.
