MECL–GSI Strengthen Collaboration for Advanced Geophysical Mapping in Odisha
Further strengthening the long-standing partnership between Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL) and the Geological Survey of India (GSI), a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed in hybrid mode for undertaking Ground Gravity and Magnetic Surveys in selected sectors of Odisha under the National Geophysical Mapping Programme (NGPM).
The MoA is part of a series of collaborative agreements between MECL and GSI aimed at generating high-resolution geophysical data to enhance geological understanding and support systematic mineral exploration across the country.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Pankaj Kumar, DDG & RMH-I, GSI, on behalf of GSI and Shri K.K.S.R.K.S. Sai, HoD (Geophysics), MECL, on behalf of MECL.
The signing was witnessed by Shri Pankaj Pandey, Director (Technical), MECL, Shri Surendra Singh Kshatriya, Director (Finance), MECL, Shri K.N. Prasad, DDG (Geophysics), GSI, Shri Anirudh Saha, Director (Geophysics), GSI, Shri Karthik Ramachandran, HoD (Business Development & Commercial), MECL, along with other senior officials of both organisations.
This collaboration reflects the combined technical expertise of MECL and GSI in advancing geoscientific investigations and supporting India's vision of resource security and Aatmanirbhar Bharat through modern geophysical exploration.
