Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited celebrated the 80th Independence Day of our country with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at its Head Office, Namrup, embracing the spirit of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
Shri Rajnesh Gogoi, Managing Director, APL, hoisted the National Flag in front of the Administrative Building at the Head Office, symbolising national unity, pride and the spirit of freedom.
The celebration was graced by Shri Hemanta Gogoi, Hon’ble Vice-Chairman; Shri Pramod Kumar Prasad, Director (Finance); HoDs; senior officials; members of the APL Officers’ Association and APL Workers’ Union; employees; teachers and students of APL High School and Eve’s Care and Growth Play School, along with members of the APL fraternity.
As part of the celebration, members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) were felicitated in recognition of their dedicated service, prompt response, alertness and commendable efforts during emergency situations. The ERT members felicitated were Mr. Mridul Saikia, Mr. Durlov Borah, Mr. Ankur Sonowal, Mr. Anindya Kr. Neog, Mr. Mrinal Jyoti Kumar, Mr. Bhupen Gogoi, Mr. Mridul Gogoi, Mr. Bikash Dowarah and Mr. Papul Gogoi.
In appreciation of their dedication and contribution towards the educational development of APL’s children, Mr. Y. Shyamanta Singh, Ms. Runumi Kalita, Ms. Babli Sarmah, Ms. Bornali Gogoi, Mr. Hemanta Saikia and Mrs. Rupjyoti Gogoi (Saikia) were felicitated for voluntarily rendering their services as teachers and undertaking other required responsibilities at APL High School, while continuing to perform their regular duties at APL..
Under the Company’s Felicitation and Appreciation Scheme – 1995, students of APL employees who excelled in their Class X examinations were felicitated in recognition of their outstanding academic performance. The students felicitated were Mr. Antariksh Kashyap, Miss Akangkhya Bordoloi, Miss Nistha Phukan, Miss Krishnajeen Gogoi, Miss Akashjyoti Dirial and Miss Nikhita Dutta.
In recognition of their exemplary performance and achievements in sports, Mr. Sanjib Borphukan and Ms. Shyamoli Saud Phukon were also felicitated. Their accomplishments were acknowledged as a source of pride and inspiration for the APL fraternity and the younger generation.
A few Safai workers were also felicitated for their dedicated and sincere services in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the APL premises.
Independence Day was also celebrated at APL’s Boitamari Plant Office, Bongaigaon, with patriotic fervour and gaiety.
This historic occasion served as a reminder of the immense sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, whose courage and struggles paved the way for a strong, sovereign and independent India. APL reaffirmed its commitment to contributing towards the progress and development of the nation and the state of Assam.
