The 55th National Safety Day was observed as a week-long campaign from 24 February to 4 March, demonstrating the Company’s commitment to workplace health and safety.

The theme, “Engage, Educate and Empower People to Enhance Safety,” emphasizes the collective effort required to develop a strong safety culture within an organisation.

This year, the Company observed the occasion through a Safety Campaign by conducting several activities such as training on hand protection, a Level-1 fire and rescue mock drill, a drawing competition, a quiz competition, and a full-body safety harness competition among the workforce.

On the occasion, the Shri Rajnesh Gogoi, Managing Director of APL hoisted the National Safety Flag, followed by the recitation of the Safety Pledge, reaffirming the Company’s commitment to making APL the safest workplace and continuing the goal of achieving zero accidents at the workplace.

An agreement was signed today at the Boitamari Plant Office, Bongaigaon, between Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited (APL) and Bhutan Board Products Limited for the supply of formalin.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Rajnesh Gogoi, Managing Director of APL and Mr. Yeshi Dorji, CEO of Bhutan Board Products Limited.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited (APL) and Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla, Gujarat, for setting up an E-Methanol Plant, was signed in the august presence of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, and Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.

The MoU was formally exchanged between Shri Bikul Ch. Deka, Hon’ble Chairman, Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited and Shri Sushil Kr. Singh, Hon’ble Chairperson, along with Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Hon’ble Vice-Chairperson, Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla, Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in fostering sustainable and green energy collaboration.

The ceremony was graciously attended by Shri Bimal Borah, Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises and Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Assam; Shri Prasanta Phukan, Hon’ble Minister of Power, Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship and Medical Education, Government of Assam; Shri Rameswar Teli, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha; Hon’ble MLA of Naharkatia LAC, and other Hon’ble MLAs, along with senior officials and distinguished dignitaries.
