Its peaceful serenity is something that can leave you wondering if you’re in heaven indeed.It is divided into two parts, Nangal Township and Naya Nangal. The town was named Nangal by acquiring land of three villages viz. Nangal Nikku, Hambewal and Dubheta.It gained importance with the starting of

the construction of Bhakra Dam on Satluj river in November, 1955.Residential areas include Shiwalik Avenue, Naya Nangal Township, BBMB Township and downtown Nangal.There are lot of worth seeing places near nangal like Julfa mata temple,Gurudwara bhabour sahib,shri naina devi temple,Khalsa heritage complex,Bhakra Dam.
