We are happy to share the visuals of Gayakwad Family’s completed new house. Our interlocking construction technology required no River sand. The walls were reinforced with Iron bars and concrete giving in more structural stability than normal load bearing construction. Due to smooth finish of our bricks, this plaster of 3-4 mm only was required for covering the walls. All these with almost 40% cost saving.
We, Gruhaa are looking forward to serve many more such families.

Gruhaa had just started their marketing activities in the slums of Nashik. This was when Gayakwad family received the Gruhaa’s Phamphlet. Immediately, the low-cost price of Gruhaa’s building technology caught Gorakh’s attentions and he gave a call to our Sales representative. After showing them sample house and explaining their durability parameters, Gorakh was satisfied. As per the requirement of the customer, quotation for construction the 270 sq.ft was given for house with a tin roof but permanent bricks walls. Gorakh and his wife; both were stunned and overwhelmed to see that in 60% of the price of traditional construction they were not only able to build the complete house but save money for other things.
The construction started with our technology and as expected, the word about low-cost Gruhaa’s technology quickly spread across neighbours and other inhabitants of the slums.
On the first two day, foundation was completed. Next four days, the wall construction was completed with average height of the wall of 9.5 ft. After wall constructions, tiling work and roofing work was completed. Last 5 days will be used for white cement filling and painting.
Gorakh is now always having a smile on his face as his house is about to be completed. He proudly tells everyone that his house is built with interlocking mechanism which prevents usage of river sand and saves 50% cement. He is waiting for his dream to be completed in few days.

Gorakh Gayakwad, who earns livelihood for his family and himself by being a launderer, dreamt of a house of his own, ‘for-his-own’. His family is just one of the 25 lakhs urban families living in temporary structures and unhygienic conditions. Living in a 300 square feet space with tin shed over his head, he desired to give security of a place to his small and lovely family of five, a homemaker wife and two teenage daughters and a son. After much effort, he secured a loan from one of leading microfinance firm in the country. Still, the high cost of raw material and labour for construction made him choose between security and hygiene. But that is not how he wanted it to be. He wanted to give his family what collectively they can call a secure and warm place, they can call a home. Finally when decided to expand the house using tin shed, they came to know about Gruhaa.
