Our students interacted with our proud alumnus, Shri Tulsi Das, IFS, Conservator of Forests, Prayagraj Division. Shri Das completed his Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from ASPEE College of Horticulture and Forestry during 1999–2003.
During the interaction, Shri Das shared his journey from NAU to UAS, Dharwad, where he pursued his Master’s degree through the ICAR JRF. He further received the Commonwealth Scholarship and completed his Master’s degree from Bangor University, UK. After returning to India, he joined the ICAR system as an ARS scientist and later, in 2009, joined the Indian Forest Service (IFS) as part of the 2009 batch in the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
Dr. M. B. Tandel, Dean of the college, felicitated Shri Das with a memento and encouraged students to pursue their dreams through hard work. Other faculty members of the college were also present during the interaction session.
Moreover, we, the College of Forestry, extend our heartfelt congratulations to Shri Tulsi Das, IFS, for receiving the NAU Ratna Award (an award for outstanding NAU alumni) on the occasion of NAU Foundation Day on 1st May.
