लाख पालन से कटघोरा वन मंडल और जगदलपुर क्षेत्र के किसानों की जिंदगी में खुशहाली की नई कहानी लिखी जा रही है। कटघोरा वन मंडल में लगभग 2 क्विंटल से अधिक लाख उत्पादन के साथ किसानों को करीब 17 लाख रुपये तक की आय प्राप्त हुई, वहीं जगदलपुर क्षेत्र में भी बड़े पैमाने पर लाख उत्पादन से किसानों की आमदनी में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि दर्ज की गई है। कम लागत और अधिक मुनाफे वाले इस वन आधारित व्यवसाय ने ग्रामीण परिवारों को नया घर बनाने, वाहन खरीदने और आत्मनिर्भर बनने का अवसर दिया है। यह पहल वन आधारित आजीविका को सशक्त करते हुए समृद्ध छत्तीसगढ़ की दिशा में मजबूत कदम साबित हो रही है।

दिनांक 24.02.2026 को तेन्दूपत्ता संग्रहण वर्ष 2026 के संग्रहण काल से पूर्व शाखकर्तन कार्यशाला का आयोजन नीलॉम हॉल, काष्ठागार मनेंद्रगढ़ में सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ छत्तीसगढ़ महतारी के छायाचित्र पर दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ किया गया। प्रबंध संचालक श्री चन्द्र कुमार अग्रवाल (भा.प्र.से.) द्वारा तेन्दूपत्ता शाखकर्तन के संबंध में मार्गदर्शक उद्बोधन दिया गया, वहीं उप-प्रबंध संचालक श्री के.एस. खुंटिया ने शाखकर्तन, संग्रहण, उपचारण, बोरा भर्ती, दस्तावेज संधारण, परिवहन एवं गोदामीकरण विषयों पर विस्तृत प्रस्तुतीकरण दिया। कार्यशाला में 07.03.2026 से 15.03.2026 तक शाखकर्तन कार्य पूर्ण करने के लक्ष्य, वनाग्नि रोकथाम के उपायों तथा छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य लघु वनोपज संघ की विभिन्न योजनाओं पर विशेष चर्चा की गई। अंत में फील्ड में शाखकर्तन कार्य का डेमो प्रदर्शित किया गया। इस अवसर पर श्रीमती ईरावती बेक (अध्यक्षा जिला यूनियन मनेंद्रगढ़), श्री उत्तम कुमार पैकरा (उपवनमंडलाधिकारी जनकपुर), श्री मानवेंद्र सिंह (उपवनमंडलाधिकारी केल्हारी) सहित जिला यूनियन के समस्त अधिकारी-कर्मचारी, समिति प्रबंधक एवं फड़ मुंशी उपस्थित रहे।
