Government Polytechnic, Nayagarh observed World Youth Skills Day 2026 on 15 July 2026 with the objective of promoting the importance of technical and vocational skills among students. The programme witnessed the active participation of students, faculty members, and staffs.

The event commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, who emphasized the significance of skill development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning in enhancing employability and supporting sustainable development. Faculty members also addressed the gathering, encouraging students to continuously upgrade their technical, digital, and professional competencies to meet the evolving demands of industry.

To mark the occasion, an expert talk and student awareness programme were organized, highlighting the role of skill-based education in building a competent and future-ready workforce. Students participated with enthusiasm and benefited from the informative sessions.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for their valuable contribution to the successful observance of World Youth Skills Day 2026.

*Industry-Oriented CNC Training & Internship at Government Polytechnic, Nayagarh* 🔧

We are pleased to announce that *30 students of 5th Semester Mechanical Engineering, Government Polytechnic, Nayagarh* are undergoing a *one-month CNC Training & Internship Programme* from *1st June to 30th June 2026*.

The training is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industrial practice, focusing on modern CNC manufacturing technologies. Students are receiving hands-on exposure to:

✅ Fundamentals of CNC Technology and Programming
✅ CNC Coordinate Systems, G-Codes & M-Codes
✅ CNC Simulation for Turning and Milling Operations
✅ Programming and Operation of *SIEMENS CNC Systems*
✅ Practical Training on *CNC Turning Machine*
✅ Simulation-Based Milling Programming and Verification
✅ Machine Safety, Offsets, Tool Management & Production Practices

During the internship, students will develop CNC programs, perform machining simulations, and gain practical experience in CNC turning operations, enhancing their industry readiness and employability skills.

This initiative reflects the commitment of *Government Polytechnic, Nayagarh* towards providing skill-based technical education and preparing students for the rapidly evolving manufacturing sector.
