Do you remember that one teacher who made you genuinely love learning?

In Nagaland, Ms. Rokovono Meyase is turning daunting math lessons into interactive, joy-filled group learning. Across the state, teachers like her are transforming classrooms and helping students aspire to become researchers, scientists, and entrepreneurs!

Through the Nagaland: Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources ( ) Project — the 's first education initiative in India's underserved northeast, implemented directly by a state government — schools are seeing real, measurable change:

📈 Grade 10 completion rates rose from 34% to 47% in just three years.
👩‍🎓 Over 130,000 students now benefit from upgraded classrooms, digital tools, and practical skills training.
🏆 In the most recent high school exams, girls outperformed boys across all subjects — including science.

From building science laboratories in rural schools to training teachers in modern pedagogy and empowering local communities, Nagaland is investing in the foundations that connect its young people to better opportunities and brighter futures.
