AICTE Chairman Prof. Yogesh Singh launched the Problem Statements for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026, marking the beginning of the journey for India’s young innovators at one of the world’s largest open innovation platforms.

With the problem statements now open, Prof. Singh called upon every SPOC and institution across India to initiate internal hackathons, mentor students and nominate their best teams.

To our young innovators, his message was clear: “Do not participate merely to win—participate to solve.”

The focus is on building solutions that are concrete, sustainable, adaptable and scalable—solutions that can move beyond the hackathon and create real impact through innovation and entrepreneurship.
