Chargé d’ Affaires, Mr. Aftab Hasan Khan extended warm welcome to Pakistan Junior Davis Cup Tennis Team, visiting India to participate in the Junior Davis Cup final qualifying event being held in New Delhi from 11th to 16th April 2022.Cd’A also hosted an Iftar dinner in the honour of Junior Davis Cup Team at the High Commission.

Mission Organised Monthly E-Kachehri to Facilitate Pakistanis in Consular Matters
The Mission organized monthly E-Kacheheri, today. Cd’A Aftab Hasan Khan, along with the Mission’s officers and officials dealing with the consular matters, listened to consular services-related queries of the Pakistanis residing in India.
The C’dA gave a brief account of progress made on the queries recorded during the last E-Kachehri held on 24 February 2022, and highlighted the achievements of the mechanism. Subsequently, he directly responded to various inquiries and resolved those right away. In cases where more time was required to complete relevant procedures, concerned officials were tasked to follow up and update the applicants on the progress.
Mission organizes E-Kachehri on monthly basis to electronically reach out to the Pakistani nationals and address their queries in the comfort of their own homes. In line with the vision of the Government of Pakistan, providing quality consular services remains one of the top priorities of the Mission.

PAKISTAN DAY CELEBRATED WITH NATIONAL ZEAL AND PATRIOTIC SPIRIT AT PAKISTAN HIGH COMMISSION NEW DELHI
Today, Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi observed Pakistan Day with national zeal and patriotic spirit.
Mr. Aftab Hassan Khan Chargé d'Affaires raised Pakistan’s flag to the tune of national anthem at an elegant flag-hoisting ceremony held at the Chancery’s Lawns. Officers and staff of the High Commission along with their families were present on the occasion. Messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out to the audience.
Extending warm felicitations on Pakistan national day, the Chargé d'Affaires paid rich tributes to the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other national leaders of Pakistan movement, who with their unswerving resolve and relentless efforts created a separate homeland for the Muslims of Sub-Continent.
The Cd’A highlighted that Pakistan is playing a dignified role as a responsible democratic state in the comity of nations. The holding of 48th meeting of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad, is a clear manifestation of Pakistan’s pivotal role in the Islamic World. He added that Pakistan is making progress in all spheres of life including industry, science & technology and art & culture. From UN peace keeping missions to peace efforts in Afghanistan, Pakistan has always played a responsible role as an advocate of peace and stability.
The Chargé d'Affaires underlined that Pakistan wishes to have mutually beneficial relations with all its neighbors including India and believes in resolving all outstanding disputes through peaceful means of dialogue and diplomacy. For lasting peace and stability in the region, it is essential to resolve the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of Kashmir, he emphasized.
The students of Pakistan High Commission School gave performance on national songs and delivered speeches highlighting the historic struggle for the creation of Pakistan.
At the end of the ceremony, Begum Chargé d'Affaires, Mrs Erum Gillani distributed prizes and gifts among the students and teachers. A special cake was also cut by the Chargé d'Affaires along with his spouse on the occasion.
In view of corona pandemic, the ceremony was held while ensuring strict compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

In close coordination with Foreign Office as well as the Indian side, 12 Pakistan nationals, including 6 fishermen, who were under imprisonment in India, were repatriated today via Attari-Wagah border on completion of their sentences.
Among those reuniting with their families in Pakistan today is a senior citizen (80 year plus), Muhammad Nazir s/o Fateh Din.
Pakistan High Commission will continue its efforts for early repatriation of all those Pakistani prisoners who have completed their sentences in India.
Pakistan’s Charge' d Affaires participates in the Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Khawaja Syed Moinuddin Hasan Chishti (RA)
Mr. Aftab Hasan Khan, Charge' d Affaires, Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi participated in the 810th annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Khawaja Syed Moinuddin Hasan Chishti (RA), in Ajmer Sharif, today, and presented the traditional chaddar on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan.
On arrival at the Dargah, the Charge' d Affaires was received by Syed Bilal Chishti, as well as other prominent members of the Anjuman Moinia Fakhria Chishtia Khuddam Sahib. Subsequently, dua (prayers) was offered and the traditional “dastarbandi” performed.
The Cd’A thanked all those present at the shrine, especially the administration for facilitating his visit on the auspicious occasion of the annual Urs.
Hazrat Khawaja Syed Moinuddin Hasan Chishti (RA) is one the most revered Sufi saints of the sub-continent and a source of spiritual nourishment for devotees from around the world. He is the founder of the Chishtia order in the region.
This year visit of the Zaireen from Pakistan under the Pakistan-India Bilateral Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines, 1974 could not take place due to coronavirus restrictions in India.
Pakistan High Commission organized the 1st E-Kacheheri of 2022. C d’A Aftab Hasan Khan, alongwith the Mission’s team, directly listened to queries of the Pakistanis residing in India & resolved issues right away. In line with the GoP’s vision, facilitating Pakistanis remains the top priority.
Today, Pakistan High Commission issues visa to Sika Khan to visit his brother, Muhammed Siddique and other family members in Pakistan. The two brothers separated in 1947 were recently reunited after 74 years at Kartarpur Sahib Corridor.
The story of the two brothers is a powerful illustration of how the historic opening of the visa-free Kartarpur Sahib Corridor in November 2019 by Pakistan is bringing people closer to each other.
Sika Khan also met with CDA Aftab Hasan Khan and interacted with Mission's officers. He appreciated his interaction and thanked the CDA for the cooperation extended to him.

Cd’A Aftab Hasan Khan visited Sarhind Sharif in Indian Punjab today and offered condolences on the sad demise of Syed Muhammad Zubair, elder brother of Khalifa Syed Muhammad Sadiq Raza. The Cd’A also presented the traditional chaddar at the Shrine of Hazrat Mujaddad Alf Sani (RA) at Sarhind Sharif and offered dua.
The Mission held an event to celebrate Christmas and express solidarity with Christian community. Charge d'Affaires Aftab Hassan Khan cut the cake. Appreciating contributions of the institution of Church for all humanity, he stressed the need to follow the message of Jesus Christ.
He paid tribute to minorities for their contributions in 🇵🇰’s development.He highlighted minorities were enjoying equal rights in 🇵🇰 as per constitution. Fr Eloysius & Fr Shinil of Delhi’s Sacred Heart Cathedral attended the event. The latter offered prayer before cake-cutting.
12th E-Kacheheri of the year 2021 was held today. Charge d’ Affaires Aftab Hasan Khan alongwith relevant diplomats was present to listen to queries/complaints by Pakistanis residing in India. The issue raised was resolved right away and related queries were responded satisfactorily.
High Commission for Pakistan in New Delhi issues visas to Indian Hindu Pilgrims to visit Shree Katas Raj in Chakwal, Pakistan
Today, the High Commission for Pakistan in India issued 112 visas to Indian Hindu pilgrims for their visit to a prominent Hindu Temple in Punjab, Pakistan.
The group would be visiting Shree Katas Raj Temples, also known as Qila Katas or complex of Katas Temples in Chakwal district of Punjab from 17-23 December 2021. Katas Raj Temples surround a pond which is considered sacred by Hindus. The visit is covered under the Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines, 1974.
In addition to visas for Hindu religious places covered under the framework of the bilateral protocol, a large number of Indian Hindus are issued visas by Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi on regular basis for visits to their families and friends in Pakistan.
The High Commission wishes a spiritually rewarding pilgrimage to Hindu Pilgrims visiting Pakistan.
Pakistan remains committed to preserving sacred religious sites and extending all possible assistance to the visiting pilgrims of all faiths.

Pakistan issues visas to Indian Hindu Pilgrims for visit to Shadani Darbar, Sindh
Today, Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi issued 136 visas to Indian Hindu pilgrims for visit to their religious sites in Pakistan.
The group of Indian Hindu pilgrims is visiting Pakistan to participate in the 313th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Shiv Avtari Satguru Sant Shadaram Sahib, at Shadani Darbar Hayat Pitafi, Sindh from 4-15 December 2021. Shadani Darbar, over three hundred years old temple, is a sacred place for Hindu devotees from across the globe. The Shadani Darbar was founded in 1786 by Sant Shadaram Sahib, who was born in Lahore in 1708.
Under the Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines of 1974, thousands of Sikh and Hindu pilgrims from India visit Pakistan to observe various religious festivals/occasions every year. The visas issued by the Pakistan High Commission are in addition to the visas granted to Hindu and Sikh pilgrims participating in these events from other countries.
The issuance of pilgrimage visas to Hindu and Sikh pilgrims is in line with the Government of Pakistan’s efforts for facilitating visits to religious shrines. It’s also reflective of Pakistan’s respect for religious places of all faiths and efforts for promoting interfaith harmony.

74th Independence Day Celebrated at Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi The 74th Independence Day of Pakistan was observed in patriotic zeal and spirit at the Pakistan High Commission, New Delhi, today. Keeping in view the corona pandemic (all necessary SOPs were observed) a short and simple ceremony with a limited participation was held. The Pakistan’s flag was raised by Acting High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah at an elegant and impressive flag-hoisting ceremony held on the Chancery’s lawns. Minister Political, Mr. Aftab Hasan Khan, read out the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Acting High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah in his remarks extended warm felicitations on Independence Day and lauded the zeal with which the broader Pakistan High Commission family participated in the event. Recalling the freedom struggle, the Acting High Commissioner said the sacred day of 14th August 1947 dawned primarily due to the unflinching resolve, unprecedented struggle, and countless sacrifices of our forefather. The Acting High Commissioner, therefore, underlined the need to remember the Quaid’s vision of a democratic, modern, moderate, economically-strong, Islamic welfare state. He stressed the importance of each successive generation to contribute its own part with honesty towards the realization of the Quaid’s vision.
